The Tactical Life

Was pleased to see your name pop back up.

I read a write up on a small city in CO (Pueblo iirc) where the vape places are creating such a potent mix, it is having health ramifications. The article referenced a free health clinic trying to spread the news that it was similar to meth in ramifications, along with the threats they were getting to shut up. Just an FYI.

Best of luck on finding some pain relief, to allow you to keep working.

Guns and MM are available in the secondary market or on the streets with no lists, cards, or forms!

Exercise your Rights as an American and get the stuff you need.

I could post a link from Drive.ca about how the new Ford F-150 has been customized for police forces. Let me know if you want me to.

Please do, nothing more tactical than a good truck.

I don’t know if anyone has seen this:

Contravention laws/regulations, well, sure I could figure it out. However, let’s say I have an incident, they do bloods, it pops positive…then, even though I did everything else to letter of the law, I still get a felony charge, which nor only comes with prison time but loss of 2A rights. If I were single, had no kids etc.,might actually consider the risk. But tooooo many people whom I love dearly, esp my hot ass wife, rely on me. So, even light contravention of law that could go sideways and land my butt in a cell aint happening.

However, in my state it isn’t illegal to smoke a joint. If I did so, then didn’t carry till it had time to clear, by the atf 4473 I’d still be ok cause I’d not be addicted to or unlawful user.

But honestly, I am so damn uptight, ill use bourbon in sufficient quantity when the morphine pump implant aint doin it. It doesn’t stop the pain, but it can knock me TF out for a few hours during which time I’m not cognizant of it…

There’s a gazillion manipulations, but changing the BS at Fed level sure would seem more sensible.

Appreciate the hell outta your input Bro!

A veteran in pain driven to booze, that messed up.

Senator Schumer (NY) says he’ll push for legalization in the Senate. There’s already monemtem in the House, but Republicans have killed the idea in the Senate. So next time this comes up in the news, Call Your Senator!

Very nice, but it seems hard to justify the price.

Yes, I agree. One of the , or possibly the best pistol, I ever shot, but cannot justify the price. Shooting professional is one thing, but, too expensive for EDC.

Excellence is not about inborn talent or natural skills. Excellence is purely a state of mind. A decision.

It doesn’t matter what your background is. What matters is your commitment to be the best.

Make it a habit.

Thought for the day:

Amateur criminals with guns. The only thing they kill is innocent bystanders. It if wasn’t so tragic for the innocent, it would be comedy.

If you are attacked either in your vehicle or around vehicles:

Fighting in and around vehicles” Is actually two very different events … “fighting from within a vehicle and fighting outdoors with vehicles present.”

Fighting from within a vehicle is the worst case scenario and takes no specialized training… Pull your gun out, return fire as fast and effectively as you can and exit the vehicle as soon as possible. It is effectively fighting from your coffin.

Fighting around vehicles is just outdoor fighting where vehicles are present as terrain. Unless the vehicle is moving it has no special properties other than concealment, enhanced ballistic protection and at times cover based on the weapon system employed against you/it.

Good luck catching the second guy on that scooter. Talk about a getaway vehicle.

My problem with the Staccato’s isn’t the price of the gun but the price of the mags, which also have a reputation as being unreliable. Allegedly they fixed that with the newest gen, but I’ll give them a few years to make sure.

If you carry a flashlight everyday, and I don’t know why you wouldn’t, are you using rechargeable’s? If not, you’re wrong.

Should you wear your glasses to a gun fight?

This is actually really cool to know! In Australia self defence laws are non-existent, if you’re mugged and use a tactical pen (or any object with premeditated thought to potentially be used as a weapon) to defend yourself you’re probably looking at jail time.

This however is an inconspicuous crayon @Beyond_Beyond

Let’s put 50$ down the Australian federal government sees this post and bans these crayons, associating possession with life in prison

No way… what? If you have intractable PTSD and some CBD tincture (Cannabidiol in the Treatment of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder: A Case Series - PMC) helps ameliorate symptomatology you’re barred from purchasing a firearm? But Xanax, klonopin, valium and equitable substances aren’t considered apt criteria for revoking a firearms license… We have a similar issue here, those on medical marijuana can’t drive. If they drive within up to a week after dosing they risk a 1000$+ fine + suspension of drivers license for 3-6 months. I’d understand penalty for driving impaired, but this isn’t the agenda here.

@idaho you should have a look regarding what’s happening in Australia. Victoria has locked down (stage four restrictions) over 20 cases more than fifteen months into the pandemic! Stage four equates to a 5km radius over ones home, no leaving home aside from the most essential of reasons, nearly all businesses shut down. It should also be noted Aus is still home to the harshest travel restrictions in the world, with citizens banned from travelling (seriously, you have more civil liberties if you arrive and you aren’t an Australian citizen; which you theoretically can do but it’s difficult to find a flight).

The penalty now for travelling to NZ, leaving NZ, coming back and quarantining in NZ before coming back to Aus is 5 years in prison, a 66,000$ fine or both (and a criminal record… lets not forget about that).

Our PM states MAYBE they’ll give us the privilege of travel by mid 2022… We really need a human rights charter in Oceania. I’d go on about this but I don’t want to get into politics and my vested frustration that we have only fully vaccinated 1.7% of the population. Rates should shoot up relatively soon, but nowhere near the herd immunity the US/Eurpoe may achieve soon.

This coupled with increasingly paternalistic rules and regulations being passed of which to my knowledge aren’t going through parliament (we’ve still shut down parliament over our "state of disaster) is incredibly concerning. The penalties for breaching restrictions are enormous fines or even jail time depending on the severity of the breach

I’m not anti lockdown, I’m anti resorting to snap lockdowns and draconian restrictions as our first line of defence as opposed to TRYING to create a “covid normal”. We still have STATE border closures every time a few cases pops up.

There is so much fear mongering within our media narrative, it’s almost as if those controlling news outlets are trying to rile everyone up, ultimately creating a hermit nation.

Sure, I’m happy we have no covid; but I’d be happier if we abandoned our “net elimination” mentality and tried catering towards vaccinations, accepting this will probably be an endemic. I’m not happy that I have to worry “will borders shut” if I even think about travelling interstate… and forget about seeing my family overseas. My grandmother who I was close with back when I lived in the USA is dying, I’m never going to see her again NOR am I going to be able to attend the funeral as funerals no longer appear to meet the criteria for one to be granted a travel exemption (gee… how compassionate)

Or rip them off, like the cliche of tearing your shirt off to fight?

Defense of one’s self and defense of your loved ones is a basic human right. Once a government takes away that right, then you are nothing but victims. It’s much easier for a ruling government to allow its citizens to die from the hands of predators, than stand up and support them.

Overall your post is disturbing and from what you have written, portrays a grim picture for the freedom of the Australian people.

Look into the Australian government. They aren’t tyrannical by any means, more akin to perhaps “low league authoritarianism”.

I’ve been to many countries, Australia to me stands out as quite possibly the biggest nanny state/most paternalistic secular, democratic society. There are benefits associated with living here, but for those who like to abide by a “do it yourself” rhetoric it’s not a great place to live.

One of the biggest problems I’ve noted is that we have a youth gang problem, not even organised syndicates; just dumbass, bored degenerates who go around hurting people. State and federal government’s alike are fairly reluctant to do anything about it because these delinquents tend to consist of immigrants (note I’m not against immigrants at all, these kids make up a TINY minority of immigrants, though for such a minority they sure do cause a lot of trouble). It certainly wouldn’t be woke/PC to clamp down on this

To note, I’m not pulling this out of my ass. This is a pretty big problem that isn’t talked about. I can name at least ten people (myself included) who have either been harassed, mugged or savagely beaten without provocation by these youths.

These kids tend to be part of the demographic that carry knives or even (gasp) firearms on occasion.
