Not sure they are “challenges” but moreso agreed lifts/feats to “make the board”. The first dozen or so should be easy:

 1. Bwt bench press for reps
 2. Dip bar dips for reps
 3. Ring Dips for reps
 4. Pull ups for reps
 5. Chin ups for reps
 6. 1.5 x bwt. Deadlift for reps
 7. 1.5 x bwt. trap bar deadlift for reps
 8. 1.5 bwt squat for reps
 9. push ups for reps
 10. ring push ups for reps
 11. box jump for height
 12. standing broad jump

Top 3 results and you’re “on the board”.

Any chance of TNation buy-in here?

LOL what the ef is all this ring stuff and how the heck would someone do that broad jump? BTW, no one over 40 would have a snowballs chance in hell against me in a broad jump.
ok. post your broad jump.

rings? do some dips. then do them on the rings. prepare to be humbled.
My point about the dips is that hardly anyone does them.

How would you propose to do a BJ video that is verifiable? (LOL at poor choice of abbreviations but I’m leaving it haha)

Uh…mark the jump point, jump from that point, mark landing…tape measure. simple. use chalk

don’t forget to spit. or swallow. whatever your preference

hardly anyone does dips? or ring dips? if you’re not doing ring dips, you should do them.

I started doing dips on home made blast straps. Definitely different.

Sorry I meant to say nobody does rings. I’m sure rings are great and maybe more people should be doing ring dips but they aren’t and these challenges have to be about what lots of people are doing.

Btw it would be really easy to cheat the way you are proposing on the Broad Jump. There would be about as much validity for us just to state our marks.

Best method I can come up with would be to lay some starting tape down then stretch a measuring tape from there. At 8 feet put another strip down then little tape markers every 2 inches beyond that. Set the camera up so the landing is clearly visible while still having the take off visible enough.

This would still be cheatable and it’s probably more effort than I’d like to bother with especially since I know I won’t be able to compete with good jumping 20 to 30 year olds. I’m sure there are a few on here who can jump over 10 feet.

^^LOL @ calling for a broad jump challenge and then saying “Its probably more effort than I’d like to bother with…” lololol
