Serious gaps in Ford’s testimony, but optically terrible for every GOP member to cede question time while letting the Dem senators grandstand. Feinstein and Blumenthal in particular were egregious.
Getting lectured by Blumenthal on credibility is irksome.
He said he’s never done either. Neither of which I believe coming from the treasurer of the 100 keg club haha.
Passing out is quite different from falling asleep. I don’t think it really has much bearing on my opinion other than an obvious instance of Kav BS’ing. I mean, come the fuck on. He was King Bro as a young guy by all accounts.
Kavanaugh is coming across as belligerent and entitled. While this is the approach preferred by Trump, this isn’t a wise strategy from a public-opinion standpoint. I don’t think this is going to end well for him.
I can’t believe this is the take democrats are going with. (Not just you.)
The man has had his name dragged through the mud. There still is zero evidence(you disagree but you can’t provide any, nor can anyone else) he has been called a rapist and had his character attacked. I wouldn’t be calm either.
Note to Susan Collins and everyone on here who believes Ms. Ford’s statements about Kavanaugh having been her attacker.
My first rape trial resulted in a 12 - 0 vote in favor of the defendant. My client testified, saying he sympathized with the accuser about what happened, but he firmly stated that she confused him with someone else. No other evidence, and before days of DNA. The accuser said repeatedly there was no doubt in her mind that the defendant did it. Tears, screaming at one point which I will never forget after 41 years of practicing, the works.
The defendant was believable and that’s what swayed the jury.
This is not a trial, much less a rape. This is a government job interview where I think due process is a fundamental American right. The accuser is a professor of psychology with a decidedly Democratic background who enjoys an advanced vocabulary.
