She could be Muslim, Christian, cultist, or atheist. So long as she’s conservative in the social sense. Speaking for myself, obviously.
If she were conservative in that sense she would be behind a stove or vacuum, not a judge’s bench.
Not in my ’ sense, of socially conservative, I should clarify.
This.
At this point; I almost hope the DEMS “win” this round with Kavanaugh; and Trump picks Barrett next…just so I can say what Dumb-asses the DEMS were.
Given absolutely none of this was ever about the SCOTUS seat, they’d probably just laugh
Umm, anyone familiar with polygraphs and how they’re typically given?
Multiple instruments connected to interviewee for a variety of purposes (heart rate, blood pressure, body temp, etc), simple researchable questions to establish baseline, wholly unreliable for numerous reasons
As the great George Costanza once said “it’s not a lie, if you believe it”.
Ok, lol. The polygraph report has been released an it seemed odd that there were only two questions. Figured these things would have challenged point by point.
-
Is any part of your written statement false?
-
Did you make any of it up?
So there’s a good bit of reasons polygraphs are worthless.
- They only test for whether or not the interviewee is exhibiting physical signs associated with lying. So step one if the interviewee believes the lie you get a false negative.
- Many of the things a polygraph picks up on are inherent to being under stress (like say, being questioned about a crime while attached to a machine in a questioning room). False positives are very commonplace.
- Some people do not exhibit the physical symptoms of lying, and it can easily be trained to trick. Not like special forces easy, like DIY YT video easy. Like there are actual online guides for it.
Also they said 2 relevant questions. Meaning she was most likely asked quite a few others for the baseline. A polygraph isn’t admissable in court if it happened 24 hours prior. After 3 decades it’s a joke
Back to the original title of this thread:
This Circus has divided us even further…
Oh boy…Remember where you were today, folks. This is some weird history being made.
Two men say they, not Brett Kavanaugh, may have been responsible for Christine Blasey Ford assault
https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2018/sep/27/two-men-claim-responsibility-christine-blasey-ford/
Two men have come forward to tell Senate investigators they, not Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett M. Kavanaugh, could have been responsible for the encounter Christine Blasey Ford describes when she says she was sexually assaulted at a high school party 36 years ago.
The Judiciary Committee Republican staff did not release any details about the men, but said each had been interviewed, and one had provided a written statement.
Wow. Truly did not expect this. The GOP has to be shitting its pants right now.
Why the GOP?
Someone confessing instantly turns the Dems into the white knights that defended a sexual assault victim instead of publicly saying she’s a liar and Dem puppet.
Attack ads probably being created as we speak of GOP congressmen belittling the assault accusations for the midterms.
Trump himself tweeted about the encounter claiming it was all a con game, same effect as the above.
The new narrative will be “Kav really did do it, but the GOP couldn’t make it go away for the midterms so they found 2 fall guys that know they’re safe due to statute of limitations and lack of physical evidence.”
Midterm day is in like a week and this new development will take at least that long to flush out, forcing this to be front and center until election day
Disagree with you on this one. They look awful pushing the narrative that Kavanaugh was the guilty one and almost ruined his life, despite zero evidence.
From what I’ve seen, a lot of democrats are sick of this whole thing.
I mean, it could turn out to be bunk. Maybe they’re lying, who knows. But it sure puts a twist on things.
With the fall back of “oh excuse us for believing the victim’s account of what happened, guess we could have just called her a liar and a puppet, but we would have needed to switch parties” it doesn’t seem that bad to me
How you respond will depend on your perspective like pretty much everything else.
Agree.
