I mean this with all due respect, but if you are okay with the SCOTUS playing fast and loose with truth then you should lose voting rights. SCOTUS is the highest representation of our judicial system which is based upon telling and finding the truth. More than ANYONE else in America (and it’s not really close) SCOTUS should be value truth and honesty. It’s honestly sad, and says something about our society right now when people think it’s acceptable for a SCOTUS member to blatantly lie to Congress, the public, and the other justices.
Certainly don’t have to agree with their policies, but a nominee needs to hold the law and what it represents, along with the basic tenants of the Constitution in high regard and not flaunt it and break it when personally convenient.
I want to see those same voters dancing in the streets when Amy Coney Barrett gets on the Court. (Read about her if you are at all interested).

The point I am trying to make is that Trump has proven to be a vindictive shit who doesn’t take kindly to criticism and/or not getting his way.
Kavanaugh was meant to be a (relatively) “safe” pic, that would garner maybe not complete bipartisan support; but would be “less difficult” to get through the process.
Surprise, surprise.
If Kavanaugh doesn’t get confirmed, it’s doubtful that there will be any more “nice” from Trump…and nominee’s will have records that on analysis will be more and more to the Right. (e.g. Barrett). Certainly more “Right” of Kavanugh’s rulings.
So…dance now…pay the price later.

Which, even if it was, doesn’t really matter. The ONLY thing stopping SCOTUS Kav is the GOP. The Dems have zero power outside making the GOP question their own moves.

Can you provide the documentation where Trump plans to send up Barrett if Kav isn’t put in place? Cuz it seems like you just expect the Dems to fold on the off chance someone worse is nominated.
