To hurt the GOP in the midterms. Consistent stall tactics work to both discourage your opponents base (because why bother voting when they can’t get shit done even with a majority), and bolster your own base (look at what we can do with a minority, imagine if you went and voted and gave us a majority).
Also, a good deal of what you would expect to be minor outrage from liberals is completely overwhelmed by the very very recent memory of the GOP stalling out Obama’s SCOTUS nomination, resulting in 2 Trump SCOTUS picks.
The Dems are basically bullet proof on this. Even with the assault allegations they’ll have the permanent fallback of “well of course they all lied about being at the party, who the hell would get involved in this clusterfuck if they didn’t have to. Trumpers send people death threats and dox their asses off over this kind of shit.”
Trump should be bowing at McConnell’s feet…

Trump has run for office in exactly 1 election. There has been 1 possible instance to misjudge the Trump effect.
If the Trump effect is misjudged, it will be for the 2nd time in history.

From the time the man announced that he was going to run…through 18 GOP candidates…to the win over Clinton…we have misjudged the man’s ability to galvanize a significant portion of the electorate.

Another woman from College has come forward with accusations…this time not with just a hand over her mouth, but a penis in her face…
Come on, who here has never done that before?
And her closest friend claims it’s false.
She can’t say that, well she can say it, but what she means is she didn’t see it. It doesn’t mean it happened though.
And supposedly there is a third woman who might be coming forward.
Its probably better in a lot of ways that I waited a good decade and quit boozing before going to college.
