Again, all we have to go on is excerpts from a letter that was likely meant to be breif.
That’s why I think it’s important to hear her statements and responses to tough questions.
I don’t know what that means. They expected an unnamed accuser, whose letter was simply being sat on, to do the job? What?
Feinstein knew her identity. Feinstein had the ability to push an investigation which may have revealed a pattern of behavior, while keeping Ford’s identity secret.
It was only when no pattern was revealed that feinstein released the letter info and consequently Ford came out.
I’m not arguing who is being truthful (could be both, kavanugh was described as stumbling drunk). I’m just saying Ford’s actions are not neccesatily suspicious, or not indicative of a victim… Incidentally rape victim behavior is all over the map and many times doesn’t present the way we think it “should”.
To be fair, it would be a whole lot easier to force this if the GOP hadn’t spent near a decade specializing in obstruction and stall tactics above all else.
I still don’t think what they’re doing is right, but the American people sure do support the shit out of it.

A private investigation of her own, maybe. The committee wasn’t going to investigate it. But she didn’t, because then Republicans would get wind of it.

Yes, yes it is. Whether it’s the truth or not makes no difference. There is no way of knowing and the precedent this sets is scary.

I don’t doubt for a second feinstein released it as a means to delay. This whole thing is an exercise in politicking at it’s finest.
But that has no bearing on whether or not the allegations are true or false. And my gut tells me Dr Ford would rather have avoided this circus and spectacle if possible (if what she says is true).
How do you know there is no way of knowing? You know very little, because not much info is actually out there.
