I do want to hear her. On Monday. She’s put a serious accusation out after watching the hearings tick by during the summer. She LET IT pass by. Remember that. She, her lawyer, and Feinstein knowingly watched the process come to a close. Now, if she suddenly remembered, it’s time to put up. Show you have something to follow up on.
She’s not Pablo Escobar’s right hand or something. Do you want to give them something verifiable or not ? So as to call off the vote for the near future? She’s not even trying to get him convicted here. Yes, this isn’t a trial. She’s just trying to cast enough doubt to sink his nomination. Or, pressure the GoP into the midterms (which would be sinking it, most likely) That’s all this process is.
I guess my issue with your POV is I’m not sure why you seem so hung up on her HAVING to testify Monday or she loses all credibility. It’s like you don’t realize it’s lawyers and senators handeling all these negotiations.
I, like you, am very interested to hear what she says and how she says it when pressed on some of the shakier parts of her story.
As for why did she wait? Why wouldn’t she? She didn’t want to come forward and endure this shit show if she didn’t have to, so she waited till the official vetting was done hoping something else would be found and ruin his nomination. If she just wants to screw the GOP then it’s again obvious why she waited till now too. This isn’t rocket science.
This shit is so ridiculous. She is a California Democrat, a 2017 Bernie Sanders donor, she attended the March for Science, she signed a letter protesting Trump immigrant-detention policies, and attended the Women’s March. Is there a single sane person who believes this lady?
There are no witnesses that corroborate her story. There is nothing to prove her accusations and no way to tell who is lying. @pfury is right. This is a stalling tactic, plain and simple. Let’s nominate the guy and move on.

It doesn’t matter if she is lying or not. There is no way to prove it, even if her memory of 36 years is remembering everything correctly. The other stuff just adds to how ridiculous this whole thing is.
Well, it leads to the question of whose house was it? Not a whole lot of people left once Ford, Kavanaugh, Judge, Smyth are accounted for out of the 6 that were supposed to be at this party. Three of them claim to have no recollection of this party. None of them claim it to be their house. Which leaves only two unknown individuals Neither have stepped forward to say “gosh, I remember a small party at my house with, if I remember correctly, those individuals in attendance…”
A 6 person get together from 30+ years ago is hardly memorable for people to whom nothing bad happened. Shit, I’d be hard-pressed to remember something similar from 5-10 years ago.
Then you’re arguing there’s no way to follow up. Nobody even remembers this party, much less when or where. Has anybody even just placed Kavanaugh and Ford together at ANY party? Why not? “Well, I don’t think it was the party in question, but I remember specifically seeing them at a party.” Has that even happened?
It fits perfectly the narrative that Ford didn’t want to become this public figure- give enough info to start an investigation, but not enough to give up her identity and make herself the story.
Putting myself or my lady in her shoes, I totally can understand that strategy (if she is a victim).
Then why a lawyer and a polygraph? Why even write the letter? Why give it to a Senator. Why step forward and say “yeah, it WAS me.” when leaks about the letter under Feinstein’s care hit the press?
