The Stupid Thread 2 (Part 2)

:man_shrugging:t2:.

I started using drugs and alcohol when I was 12.

Can you think of any Good reasons why a 12 year old should use drugs & alcohol?

I mean, I had a lot of reasons, just not many good ones. Maybe 0.

Yeah to be, 2 Kool 4 Skool

Jk,

Nope can’t think of any. Not even for a grown adult. Well maybe if alcohol tastes good for someone, sure.

Yeah I did. I forgot how the parent is going to pay for everything with insurance or whatever and how they ultimately make the decision.

I only said that because in my opinion it seems like kids nowadays practically act like adults because their parents let them.

All they need is an IPhone and social media, and boom! Their innocence reduced to atoms.

Thats a good observation. Its not like a slow removal either.

Growing up in the 80’s without all of that it was like an incremental process of finding out.

I think this stripping away creates the illusion of maturity without the experience of actualy growing up.

They act like their parents who act like children and/or douchebags. There’s this strange disease in America where people just don’t want to grow up.

Kids also weren’t seen as a source of revenue to be exploited.

Yeah, or pawns in a political long game strategy.

Its like leftists want to be the cool parent who lets the kid drink & do drugs at home, as long as they/she (it was always divorced moms) were there to supervise (live vicariously).

My anecdotal experience on a very limited data sample is that kids tend to despise their ā€œcoolā€ parents later in life, sometimes involuntarily.

Are there Leftists that AREN’T like that?

Then they can make that transition when they turn 18 and move out on their own

Exactly. In all seriousness, how much worse could abuse get?

I just came here to post this, lol. Unreal.

Also Daisy Jones

Unfortunately I have this for my health insurance at my employer too. Same coverage and costs out of pocket to me but my premium is higher because I make over a certain dollar threshold (it’s a straight percentage of that amortized over the year).

It’s a crock of crap but since my employer is self insured and just uses a servicer they get away with it.

That’s unbelievable.

It’s like paying for a Lexus and getting a Corolla

They won’t charge people more for causing higher premiums (obesity), but will take more from your paycheck if you make more. Makes perfect sense…

I kind of benefit from that since I am ā€œobeseā€œ by BMI and have diabetes so I don’t pay more for those conditions but I pay more because I am more successful only (no one can claim I don’t ā€œpay my fair shareā€ at least)
