The Stupid Thread 2 (Part 1)

This came out while i was in grade school at a Lutheran school. It was on our library shelf for awhile until some parent complained. The pastor had to read and declare it was harmless kids’ fiction before we could rent the books again.

the funnest part of it is when you’re making fun of one side, and someone from the other side piggy backs and you take a step back and start laying into their retarded shit … the look on their face is one of utter betrayal … and it’s glorious

I was guilty of this for a long time. Took me a while, but now know that media sources, from both sides, misrepresent each other on purpose.

Wish I could read minds…or maybe not. Either way was just joking around.

It’s great when you realize it,but frustrating that it’s so fuckin’ prevalent tbh

Depends on the mind…

I like joking.

My mom used to think Pokémon was demonic, but that didn’t stop me from pirating the game boy advance games, pirating the cartoon, then buying a copy of Pokémon Soul Silver from one of my friends at the time.

To be fair… Pokemon is based on capturing/training wild animals and getting them to fight each other. Seems harmless enough in a video game…

But when Michael Vick does it…

Strangely, I was allowed to have Pokemon cards and the gameboy game.

Sadly, those had not been invented at the time. I am guessing I would have been fully in support of those at the time haha.

Norm Macdonald is the only correct answer.

may he rest in peace

Not sure if this qualifies as stupid or not, moreso posting here for conversation. (didn’t think it was important enough to warrant a thread, nor am I vested enough to start one).
Gov. Newsom signs controversial social media bill into California law (msn.com)

California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-Calif.) has signed into law a social media transparency measure that he says protects residents from hate and disinformation posts spread through social media platforms.
Senate Bill AB 587 will require social media companies to publicly post their policies regarding hate speech, disinformation, harassment, and extremism on their platforms, and report data on their enforcement of the policies.

Social media companies are mostly left-leaning… I think, if anything, this would expose the opposite of what the bill is targetting, considering it is likely intended to expose right-wing bias. I’m not actually sure I oppose this one - I’m on the fence as I don’t trust Newsom though.

Thoughts?

I think things like this are vanity bills that politicians can point to and say “Look what I did to clean up xyz.”.

Toothless and redundant at its best.

I mean, would we really be that mad if someone died following this challenge?

Had this hypothetical person not died from this challenge, I’m sure they still would have found a way to drown in soup.

Maybe some wings, just tossed in it for a lite coating but not like chicken picatta or something. That would taste terrible.

I would just be sad that they ruined good chicken and were wasting resources and oxygen.
