The Stupid Thread 2 (Part 1)

Corrected that for you lol

Of course it did. And naturally they were the first to be purged, because nobody likes them.

this shit just goes on. The place was packed, no masks. I think also a Hindu festival in India was jam packed with people, I wonder if it figures as at least part of why they have a huge outbreak.

New Orleans zoo cancels pro-police promotion, citing ā€˜divisive’ potential

NEW ORLEANS — After drawing up plans to offer discounts to anyone wearing blue to show support for the New Orleans Police Department, the Audubon Nature Institute announced Tuesday it was canceling the six-day promotion, citing feedback that ā€œthis event could be unintentionally divisive.ā€

A statement from a spokesperson for the Audubon Zoo and Audubon Aquarium of the Americas said the purpose of hosting Blue at the Zoo from May 11 to May 16, alongside the New Orleans Police & Justice Foundation, was to ā€œpromote and foster positive interactive experiencesā€ with the Police Department. But an announcement last week of the promotion as well as a planned news conference triggered "feedback … from members of our community and from persons outside of our community" which convinced Audubon to scrap the idea, the statement said.

You folded like a fucxxing lawn chair. At least you saved the animals from being traumatized by a LEO.

****The Blue at the Zoo promotion would have offered 20% discounts at zoo and aquarium concession stands and gift shops to anyone wearing the color synonymous with law enforcement. The New Orleans Police & Justice Foundation is a nonprofit that supports the Police Department.

To the Audubon Nature Institute: You are a disgrace.

We should start looking at this as a good thing.

People everywhere, especially leaders, need to grow a spine and start upsetting these nut jobs. It is time to be divisive.

Let the anti-police sociopaths be upset. Let the Democrats make themselves clear on which side of this issue they line up.

I’m assuming one of those people is pregnant … your move bucko

They haven’t??

I’m talking about the ones who aren’t sociopaths. I’m hoping there are some who might understand the bad outcomes rapidly taking shape and hop off the anti-police freight train.

Either elect sane Democrats or just vote R. Doing nothing will see the trajectory continue and the outcomes worsen.

I’m not holding my breath. Not when so much power flows from the false narrative of systemic racism and the anti-police outgrowth of that lie. There is a reason it is the cornerstone of Democrat rhetoric.

Fixed that for you, @twojarslave.

Your concern over the Capitol riot, involving a few hundred people, is noted.

I would argue that Republicans did exactly what you wanted by certifying the election results a few hours after the riot ended.

Meanwhile we’re dealing with a top down war on the police that’s producing demonstrably bad outcomes. I don’t use the word sociopath lightly here.

But keep saying it if it makes you feel better…

Same stuff on both sides…
Same stuff on both sides…

I’m just talking about the sane ones.

And keep on saying what you say if it makes you feel better, @twojarslave …

Unfortunately it doesn’t.

And the thought that there is only one Party/One Political persuasion (GOP/Conservative) is the only ā€œsaviorā€ of the American Way and Apple Pie doesn’t make me feel better either…mainly because its a false narrative.

It’s math so they are all women.

I didn’t say it was. In fact, you quoted my exact words before ā€œfixingā€ them.

This is why conversations about policy are impossible when someone puts narratives and story-weaving before critical thought. You have to unpack the narratives and pin down what mush words like ā€œsystemic racismā€ even mean before you can get anywhere.

Meanwhile the other person gets angry because they believe the stories and imagine themselves as anti-racist civil rights crusader, but can’t explain exactly how any of that can or should translate into policy. They just know that they want the best and can’t understand why someone might see things differently, so the reach for the woke playbook and run the only play in the book.

That’s racist!

That’s how you get mush word non-solutions like ā€œdefund the police!ā€ to mush word non-problems like ā€œsystemic racismā€.

More of the same.
