The Stupid Thread 2 (Part 1)

Well, maybe they take from the rich and give to the poor…

I can agree with that distinction. Bernie is more old school than the intersectional crazies.

I don’t know if this is the best thread for this, but I just got off of a long conversation with my brother.

He is wary about my posting on T-Nation, as artificial intelligence is used to manipulate political view points on only so well moderated boards. Something like that.

I told him that there seems to be generally good discourse here, and there is active moderation when necessary. there has been a bit of past serious axe grinding, Libanbolt comes to mind and some others, but this board brings together a large group of people who might not all otherwise get out of their ‘comfort crowd’, if that makes sense.

He’s not that wrong. I sometimes get YouTube suggestions based on what I write here. I never even did a google search nor watched any Dream Theater videos when I was first discussing them with @polo77j in the metal thread and this is the only online forum I post on but they popped up in my suggestions anyway. I don’t even post anything on social media. The most I did was join a parody facebook group where people pretend they work at Chernobyl and all I did was read and laugh at the silly posts.

And for some reason their algorithm thinks I want to watch fuckheads like Steven Crowder probably because I google certain economics stats. Ben Shapiro is now on my “ignore channel” list since I was getting so many suggestions for his videos at the expense of the important stuff like “Ninja Cat Chokes Out Small Dog”.

This will sound tin foil, but l swear my wife and l will talk about topics and then see related advertising. We don’t have voice assistant devices in the house.

Yet despite that l read 90% conservative sites, my only web suggestions are wapo, nyt, and multitudes of left sites.

It’s not tin foil. In all likelihood you granted a permission to an app on your phone (or a multitude of them) to access your microphone during install.

Facebook is also harvesting data if you’re simultaneously logged into T-Nation and Facebook. The same with YT

It’s this type of shit that makes me want to go full Kaczynski, and launch the Butlerian Jihad.

Yes, I commonly notice that if I have been browsing a web store Facebook will shortly afterwards hit me with a ream of targeted ads.

My Firefox install has a Facebook container, and on odd occasions I will get a blurb indicating that it blocked something.

I am starting to remember the premise to a stupid James Bond movie in which there is a media mogul who is attempting to take over the world by creating the news, something vaguely like that.

Good to see a fellow Dune Dweller. All for the Jihad, however, I suspect Mentats will be in short supply from this society.

Thanks for the answer.

I have tried to uncheck mic and camera permission, use next to no apps, check do not track, use Firefox.

But have not gone VPN and lost an easy to use non tracker software a couple of devices back.

Unfortunately, l have not been as diligent as necessary. And when l look at becoming more invisible, l don’t even understand how to stay ahead of the non-ending attempts to mine me.

I had a tooth pulled and the dentist was talking to me about getting either a bridge or implant. That day I started getting all kinds of ads on Facebook for dental implants.

It’s ok though, because private corporations, fine print somewhere you must’ve somehow missed having to do with searches, mic, and/or location.

MINEAPOLIS — The Minneapolis city council has voted to start the process of designing an unarmed traffic enforcement group that would be separate from the Minneapolis Police Department.

Staff on Friday were given the green light to begin developing recommendations for a proposed Traffic Safety Division, reported FOX 9. According to the proposal, the goals for the division include practices eliminating racial disparities in traffic enforcement," “educating the public on safe driving behaviors and traffic laws,” and "earning the trust of communities who have been harmed by previous enforcement

“We urgently need traffic safety in our community,” said Councilmember Phillipe Cunningham, who submitted the proposal, in a Facebook post. “We also need for increasing traffic safety to not come at a great cost of harm to our neighbors in the process. This issue is very complex, but it is surmountable.”

Because the Supreme Leaders know that nothing bad ever comes from a traffic stop. Not armed? No problem.

Don’t meter maids already exist? I know that’s parking but there is no way an unarmed “force” that doesn’t have the option of pursuit will be able to enforce moving violations.

I know do in NYC, not sure anywhere else. I am not expert, but I believe they only deal with parking violations, but, in current times, I am sure some asshole would shoot you over a parking ticket.

I think there’s a reason why meter maids deal with parking and cops with traffic violations. These dummies are trying to reinvent the spoon.

Who would ever volunteer to work this? Fuck that.

The same people who will work as social workers who will confront armed people having psychotic episodes. The reality is these people don’t understand reality. Who would insure unarmed government employees whose job it will be to enter into potentially life and death situations?

The problem is we want cops to be social workers and now social workers to be cops.

If you don’t pull over you get a tripled+ fine in the mail. I’d pull over. I bet you would. Philando castile would have too, and he’d still be alive.

I believe the point of this “force” isn’t to catch criminals, it’s to enforce traffic laws without stops escalating into use-of-force situations.

Not if I had warrants.
