The Stupid Thread 2 (Part 1)

Wait average joes and janes profiting at the expensive of the Uber wealthy and connected? Let’s figure out a way to stop that. Also while we’re at it let’s cut those wealthy and connected peoples taxes. And then we’ll tell the average Joe’s and Janes that will be best for them! While we’re at it let’s tell them that any increase in the minimum wage will kill all the jobs!

Until they get it … I really doubt there people of whom you speak would relish the world for which they claim to aim… They don’t have the stomach for it

I would give a lot more credence to that perspective if it wasn’t framed entirely in the opposite manner. That is, the quote describing - in the article - why they’re changing names makes it clear that it is not simply changing for the sake of relevance.

The irony of an app named Robinhood not allowing the robbing of the rich is sort of poetic.

I bloody wish, I’d have poured my life savings into it.

Short sellers this exposed deserve to lose their shirts. 150% short exposure with a stock that’s only 40% publicly traded?

It would be safer to swim with sharks, while covered in barbecue sauce, and bleeding.

Socialism for the wealthy, while for the plebs there are platitudes like “picking up yourself by your bootstraps”

It’s why I am currently erupting with laughter about the column inches decrying the danger that the uninformed retail investors are exposed to. They’re exposed? What does that make the sophisticated investors who shorted this?

Snowflakes that have to be protected at all costs from the vagaries of the cruel, impersonal market?

This is pretty funny, yet completely on point:

I’m not on board that this is caused by retail. Well provided the spark, but they just don’t have the firepower. Many have no idea of options and 200 sh trades do not make 1500% swings.

A few bigs took advantage of the hysteria and poured gas on it.

That said, unwary retailers will fund the volatility profits.

Saw JPM made the same 4th qtr profit ($12 BB) as Volkswagen made selling 9mm cars last year. And that is how the world really works, children.

It’s still money and, the real question to ask BLM is what they do with the money.

I’m stating that the reasons for renaming things is to “correct” history, and yes, those people use that terminology. It’s what lazy, hypocritical SJWs do because addressing the future is beyond the limits placed on them by IQ and coddling parents.

People did nasty things to other people in the past. We still do nasty things to one another. Ask these “heroes” who makes their iPhones and clothes. Ask them how manufacturing that iPhone affects the environment. They have blood on their hands.

Ask them who created the concept of the university where they were educated. Ask them who created the humanities they major in. Ask them who invented democracy, logic, philosophy, drama, modern medicine (and Marxism). Ask them who came up with the concept of human rights. All of the things that we consider signs of civilization and progress were created by people who also owned slaves, made war, committed genocide, limited the rights of women, colonized, built empires, etc. Should we abandon all of the good they gave us because of the bad? I don’t want to live like a cave man which is where these fragile, uneducated people will lead us.

My people created civilization as we know it and I will defend them and what they generously gave to the rest of the world against a bunch of spiritually vacant people who were raised by wolves. As bad as they were in the past, they can guide us to a better future (as has been happening for centuries). These woke humanoids offer us a future full of baristas with sociology degrees. They will produce nothing.

hookers and blow obvi - what else do you do with the money?

Duh!

glad to see we are all on the same page here hahaha. Maybe congress needs a H&B party to see what a bipartisan issue looks like?

Not so fast!

Before any of these soldiers for the cause become solemn monks in the temple of irony, they should donate using Venmo ™ or CashApp ™ using this convenient scan code… :joy:

Whole thing is gold but 215 mark touches on this. At the minimum maybe this whole GameStop type ordeal will get people to quit jerking themselves off about how high the market is as a political tool. “Who cares about unemployment look how high the market is!”

…bruh, you know they already have those right?

Is that how marjorie taylor greene made so many connections within the GOP?

One thinks Bear Grylls. Dowse yourself in chum and go diving with bull sharks.
