I always wanted to visit Hong Kong and Singapore and see some real interesting city states. If you live in Hong Kong, might be time to seriously consider moving. Living under Chinese rule (eventually) would really suck.

I have a personal connection to the 911 bill. This mockery of justice called the Congress is beyond stupid. If Jon Stewart and I sat down for a conversation concerning our political views, we would not agree on much, but, Mr. Stewart has pushed, cajoled,and fought for my brothers and sisters. All my respect. Our political system has totally went off the rails, no matter who you support.
This travesty yesterday reminds me of a quote which is appropriate to the situation:

Kudos to Stewart. I disagree with him about plenty of things but agree wholeheartedly on this issue. The rising toll of those murdered by the attacks on 9/11 will exceed those who were killed on 9/11 soon.
I had the good fortune to be with a group who were given a tour of the 9/11 memorial last Fall for which our tour guides and hosts were 9/11 survivors. It’s impossible for me to describe that experience and give it its due. I was well into adulthood on 9/11 and living in DC so my memories of that day are vivid. I’ve never felt like I’ve been forgetful or lack perspective on 9/11 but the memorial brought things to a whole new light. Just go. Go if you get a chance.
