The Stupid Thread 2 (Part 1)

Inherent right. As in born with and still existing despite what others believe/enforce.

I.e. We can theoretically change the supreme court.

I address all up above. You and I both know the argument for STATE RECOGNITION of hetero marriage is solidly reasoned. Does it provide a vital and crucial function to society? Not only in the fruit it provides, but in how that fruit is cultivated (intact homes with both bio parents)? Is anyone really arguing this? No. The other could flat out vanish entirely and we’d shrug and get back to living. There is no obligation via reason that I must support it, either.

The rest is above. Perhaps another thread? I don’t want end up being the sole continuing hijacker.

Lolol those needed gymnastics man. They always impress me

It’s not gmynastics
it’s clearly what I meant within the context of my arguments.

Oh I know. My comment was about the gymnastics needed to get there.

Except you don’t really. You come up with an argument like they can’t have kids. You don’t respond to if straight people who can’t have kids should be allowed to be married. You don’t respond to the fact that straight people can still have kids even if gay marriage is allowed to exist. You ignore the people who are not “vital” to society and what should be done with them.

I do think you’re exhausted from trying to stretch your brain into rational reasons for why it shouldn’t exist though. Right now you wouldn’t be worse off just saying “I think the God I worship opposes.”

This is the stance a good bit of my family back home takes. While most of the non older generations don’t care, at least the old folks have enough decency (mostly) to just admit they’re biggoted because Jesus told them to be.

If you say so, it must be true.

Moral outrage detector is starting to continuously beep. Hmm.

No sir, I will happily continue this in another thread. Link, please? Related subject new or old. Actually, I am beginning to warm up on the subject. However, I would rather continue it elsewhere so as to avoid irritating others with the hours worth of conversation this will produce.

Center right leaning analysis has the GND costing $51T-93T over the next 10 years.

The GND is so laughably unrealistic that I almost feel like a Dem candidate supporting it would invalidate me voting for them

I really wish people would stop jumping on the Green bandwagon. Shit sure does stink.

Oh is that all? That’s a bargain. The world is doomed in 11 years and 290 days, so we may as well spend 4-7 times the US GDP in that time.

The worst part is that it does immense harm to sensible green policies. It has basically validated the GOP contention that under every green supporter, all you find is red.

I support a multi-continent pandemic. This, combined with EMP triggers above Asia, should buy us a few more years.

So what you’re saying is, I should buy that Hummer? If the world is going to end there’s no reason to fret over emissions, or my credit rating!

AOC and Bernie are really Republican special operatives. Dragging the party/discourse far enough left Trump has a shot at 2020 where he shouldn’t.

Throw caution to the wind, my friend. For in a score of years, we die!

Trump’s best shot is to let the nominees self-immolate. He, however, possesses the self control of a crack addled moth near a lamp.

With a strong economy and no real foreign policy issues a typical Republican would be winning 2020 in a cakewalk.

Twitter’s a tough drug to quit apparently.
