Had to figure out what AOC meant-didn’t recall the Articles of Confederation predicting the end of the world. What an outstanding prediction by such a great mind.
Anyway, I’m done. No point in “debating” this for the thousandth time.
You know how it is, gotta use an acronym for everything these days.
Exaggeration and hyperbole are not a semantics issue. They are an issue of intentionally spinning and opinionating a fact.
We disagree on when life begins. I doubt we disagree on a child and a fetus being two separate things.
Ya, I’m guessing we do.
I thought AOC was referring to the young socialist rep ocasio Cortez. A doomsday prediction from her sounded about right ha!
Damn. You responded too quickly. I was going to try and get a bet on that.
A child and a fetus are not separate things. They are both human beings that are in different stages of their development.
It’s one of those demonstrative definitions. When me and the wife decided to have a child and took action toward that end, what was conceived became a child.
Other people have different words. Fetus, accessory, inconvenience, band aide for a failing marriage, etc.
It depends on who you ask and what their intentions were prior to conception.
I would certainly classify a fertilized egg, or a fetus much different from a 65 year old man.
Would I be exaggerating or using hyperbole to say that abortion is killing a 65 year old man? Hell yes! Haha
Good for you.
Killing a human being 65 years into their development is murder, but killing a fetus 6 months into their development is an abortion. Like I said, semantics.
I’m glad our laws make sense. Kill an unborn child, without input from the child? A-ok. Help someone that wants to end his suffering from a terminal illness? Murder.
me thinks the stupid thread 2 is about to get …
stupid

yeaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Gotta love it. Here’s another absurd inconsistency, women have a right to their body when it comes ending a separate human life they are carrying, but don’t have the right to end their own life.
Makes sense.
They have the right to end their own life … they just can’t enlist a 2nd party to assist…
I suppose that’s true. I was thinking more along the lines of assisted suicide.
Legalizing the ability to end someone’s life is (imo) a very very hairy scenario fraught with nuances that need to be accounted for
Agreed.
“still eating every 2-3 hours” hahahaha
