FWIW, I’ve been backloading my carbs (not by the book, just wait till post-workout to consume my normal amount) and I was surprised at how much energy I had in the gym sans carbos as well.

I am gaining atm. I gained ~50lbs over 18 months, lost 25 over a 3-4 month cut, and I’m back on the gain train now. Takes a lot o’ poundage to fill out a 6’3 frame. You’re tall too right?
I’m trying to backload my carbs so I hopefully don’t have to diet off half my weight gain this time.
