The Southern Domination

EPIC.

Now, why the hell do our gyms not have freaking monolifts???

nice squat

And were those gym employees you picked up to spot you? That adds to the awesomeness!

Nasty squat dude.

LOL at “it’s not gonna drop!”

Sick squatting dude.

DF got a brazillion? No wonder you’re crushing these squats… less resistance and friction!

Nice Squat DF

Shit, now that you mention it, we might be onto something here. I was using “brazillion” as a unit of measure, as in 1 less than infinte-ish, but wow…gives a whole new meaning to the phrase “High speed, low drag”

LWI (Lift without ingrowns!)

LOL!

AMAZING

colds do suck - should be illegal to get them in summer. I just finished mine.

great squat and yeah!! for meet

MiM - Thanks internet mom

Ink and Greg - LOLOLOLOLOL well done

Everyone - Thank yall very much

I like your videos. Except I always feel like I’m clicking on your groin.

Nice work! Those heavy walkouts are always a bit scary to me. It sucks to train equipped without a monolift.

Haha check out the kids on the basketball court. Nice squat.

GS - lolwut?

BG - Thank you. I to date have never used a monolift, and have heard that it takes some practice to get used to, so I may just walk out my squats at the meet. Any suggestions?

175SC - ha, I didnt notice that before.

Felt better today and didnt feel like walking on a treadmill, so did a complex for cardio after doing leftover core stuff.

Weighted Abzz /ss/ Hyper Extension
5 x 10 each

Deadlift/Hang Clean/Military Press/Hang Snatch/RDL/Bent Over Row complex
95lbs x 4 x 6-12 reps of each for speed

Neutral Grip Pullups
3 x 8-12

Such a monsta. What are you weighin nowadays?

complexes are rough… That one looks like it would be hard. up to 12 reps of each? thats serious

I don’t really have any good advice for ya there. I used one for quite a while but now I don’t. Switching back and forth is a little weird. My meet is the week before yours and starting this week I’ll be making the drive to a PL gym to squat out of the mono to get ready for it.

Using a mono is different but not particularly difficult to get used to. If you can’t find a way to train in one (or rig one up) and have never used one before, I wouldn’t try it for the first time on the platform. You need to be able to set up under the bar ready to squat, and taking the bar out right from that position can be a teeny bit tricky.

bug - as of tuesday, 274 even

greg - it was only 95lbs, I cant do actual olympic lifts for anything

BG - thanks for the advice, I will most likely just walk them out

ME Bench aka the continuing tragedy of a bench shirt too small me thinks

So, I watched tons of videos, tried to re-learn/emulate form in the bench shirt, couldnt figure out why before injury touching was admittingly tough but doable yet now seems next to impossible…Dr. DF thinks that the issue may be that I have outgrown this shirt, which is a possibility seeing as how I measured for it spring of my senior year, which is now over 14 months and 40lbs ago. I forced down 435 and got it back up, which is ok, by which I mean not ok, that officially is only 20lbs of carryover, which is absolute horsecrap. Somethings going to have to give, looking like I will just take a token bench in the meet, I know what number is required to reach my goal total, so we will see what happens.

After the travesty in the shirt, I did some raw singles and got a rough 420, though my spotter did tug on it, then got thrown back when I got angry and somehow powered it up.

Anywho.
