Yes, they both have more muscle than X. Not exactly sure how this proves he hasn’t gained more than 35lbs of muscle [/quote]

You do realize that Brick is talking in the literal sense, right? Meaning, maybe X has gained more LBM than that, but only roughly 35 pounds or so of it is actual, LITERAL, muscle, minus water, glycogen, etc.

Also, let’s be real. Those two guys have much more muscle than X. That’s why they are professional bodybuilders and compete in the Olympia.

You said he went to 270 pounds. A “not fat” 270 on a man of medium height is worth taking into account then. I can’t prove he gained 35# of muscle; it’s an estimate. He may have gained a little more. His upper body is impressive.

If we go clinically speaking, a normal bodyweight for a healthy 5’10" male without significant amount of muscle mass is 149 to 183#. So if we assume he’ll be lean (not stage ready shredded) at low 200’s#, I think my estimate is reasonable and impressive. Building 30 to 40 pounds of muscle naturally is impressive.

Real talk. This thread will soon reach its genetic limit of 46 pages.

Lolz at anyone talking down about gaining 35lbs of muscle. Wtf get your head screwed on. This isn’t a bro 35lbs which translates into 50% fat 30% water and 20% muscle. We are talking all muscle. 35lbs is nuts. You gain that and will be a different person. Persnally I put on 10lbs from last year till now. And the difference is quit noticeable even on my stupid lanky frame

I’m being real. When someone says they’re a “not fat” 270# at 5’10", I pay attention to what they’re saying. If someone says that, someone with that kind of physique will pop into my head. Eg: “Oh, you are a somewhat lean 270# at 5’10”. Alright, well Vic Martinez is only an inch shorter and in the offseason he weighs about 270#. So does Shawn Rhoden at 5’10". Gee, you must resemble them."

How is this unreasonable?
