The Rocker Review (Sort of)

I saw a pre-screening for the new Rainn Wilson movie The Rocker. I won’t bother writing very much about it. I don’t think I could anyway.

Let me just say that I wanted to like this movie. Dwight Schrute is probably my favorite character on The Office.

Anyway…

This movie was horrible. If I hadn’t gone with a friend I would have walked out. It’s not funny. It’s centered around Wilson’s relationship with a lame emo kid that probably doesn’t weigh as much as my wife. Just horrible. This movie was made for kids born in the 1990’s and I doubt they will even like it. Nothing really else to say other than don’t waste your time or money.

I was on the fence about this one. I like Rainn Wilson, but just had a feeling that it could turn out really bad. Oh well…

Tomorrow is “Hancock” and I really want to like this one too. The ads seem funny. I’ll post about that one later.

Hancock I’m really looking forward to. I’ll probably see that one regardless of what anyone thinks about it. :slight_smile:

Yea, I’m actually looking forward to it too. I’m really hoping Smith pulls it off because that last one of his was an epic failure. This hasn’t really been a great year for movies IMO, though Dark Knight has potential.
