Well that’d be very kind of you, Pangy! And such a steal at only a grand.
I particularly like the sleevelessness allowing me to not only showcase my taste in music but also my mammoth guns.
Watched only the brave with Josh brolin. Good movie . I rate it umm 7.8 out of 10
I change my rating to 8.4 out of 10
I agree. I think the guy they cast for the role (from TWD) is perfect for the role.
The Punisher sure lived up to his name in the last episode, and I don’t mean ‘Frank’.
A Quiet Place
I watched this 2 days ago. I thought it was well made and very well acted. A couple of scenes did make me jump, mostly due to the very LOUD jump scares but they were consistent with the plot.
Today I thought about it and I realized I couldn’t really remember much of the movie without googling it. This is not what a good horror movie is supposed to do to you.
There is a great deal of tension and, while skillfully executed, there is never a real sense of dread. There is an interesting premise but it is never thoroughly convincing because logic(for fuck’s sake, how fucking hard can it be to soundproof a house or at least a couple of rooms?). While the issue of loss and guilt from a single mistake at the start results in the dynamics and several actions of the characters throughout the movie, the irony is that it is depicted through exposition despite the movie hinging on the gimmick of silence.
Essentially, it’s an interesting concept for a film that’s flimsily held together by good direction and acting, but falls apart easily under scrutiny.
So, yeah, if you want nothing more than to be scared by jump scares for 90mins, it’s worth a watch. It’s better than the average horror movie nowadays, but that’s not really saying much.
P.S The critics are full of shit.
I’m taking my wife to see this next weekend. She doesn’t like scary movies, and I’m not telling her what it’s about.
Wish me luck.
Has anyone been to see this & done a REALLY loud fart at one of the most tense, silent scenes?
It seems like one of those once in a decade opportunities for Lolz.
Kind of like going back to 1979 & the first screening of Alien & ruining the whole film by farting just before the Chest burster scene
Watched the new Tomb Raider, I enjoyed the heck out of it (I’ve always been able to simply enjoy movies for what they are, and let go what they are not) and it was very much in the spirit of the original tomb raiders, in my opinion, good action, could use development, but I hope they turn it into a couple different movies and keep going with it. Very enjoyable night out to the movies for me.
The entire theater was dead silent throughout the film. If you watch lots of horror, you will know EXACTLY when the loud jump scares will happen lol. Go try it out.
I’ve actually got this electronic gadget that makes very realistic fart sounds, so it could be summoned at will.
I’ll watch anything they churn out next as long as Alicia Vikender is in it. She’s adorable. ADORABLE!!!
Hurricane Heist
I walked into this knowing it would suck but I thought it would suck in a “so bad, it’s good” kind of way. Well, it didn’t. It was just utterly mediocre. That’s the worst kind of movie you can watch.
Zombeavers
Same as above but worse. Look, I know I’m a sucker for shit like these, ok? FML.
I, too, have been tempted to watch Zombeavers but have never given in
could somebody else please watch The Hunt For The Wildepeople so we can talk about it?
That actually looks interesting.
It’s good! Same guy who directed What We Do In The Shadows and the new Thor movie.
How good? I normally only watch movies with this kind of storyline if they were directed by Wes Anderson.
