Frozen (2010)
Low budget survival horror film. There’s a scene at about 1/3 of the movie that’s so gripping, terrifying and unafraid to get really nasty with the gore I thought this director may be the one who will make the next Apocalypto. Unfortunately, that was the high point of the film. Acting and script needed to be a lot better. Still a pretty decent watch.
Stake Land (2010)
This is around the 4th or 5th time I’ve watched this film. I don’t know if it’s because it’s now one of my favorite horror films or I just want to ogle at Danielle Harris. Oh God she’s cute…

Cannot recommend highly enough. Charming little comedy that’ll have you laughing your ass off. That fat kid’s chat is incredible.
I just saw that last weekend finally. It was pretty good but it takes quite a bit for a movie to be amazing to me. I have high hopes for the new infinity war (little more than a month now). There are “too many” characters in it but its two parts so basically a 4-5 hour movie they might be able to pull it off. My guess is the bad guy wins at the end of part 1, something that doesn’t happen in any comic book movie.

The last taxi to Darwin
If you guys want to see what real outback Aussies are like and what real aboriginals are like, than this is about as close as you can get. I really enjoyed it, very powerful moments throughout.

I saw I, Tonya last night and I felt the same . It was really good though like nothing I’ve ever watched before. But after I watched the real her from a clip on Ellen and felt better haha . Her life turned out normal.

Pacific Rim Uprising
This is nothing like the first movie. It’s a kid’s film, and a really dumb and sloppy one. Kids will probably enjoy it. It won’t amuse adults. The Power Rangers movie was a lot more entertaining.
Finn really can’t carry a movie. Stop trying to make him a lead actor. He sucks, although in this movie he was actually the best out of the worst.
This movie also somehow managed to make Jing Tian look unattractive. Amazing.
After I learned that John Boyega was to lead the new Pacific Rim, I got the feeling that Hollywood is trying to push John Boyega the same way they tried to push Sam Worthington.
I expect roughly the same result.

I saw lady bird last night. i don’t know why this movie was such a big deal, it was boring as fuck .
If I wanted to watch the crappy adolescence of a weirdo I’d close my eyes and remember 17 yrs ago.

As a general rule, I don’t watch any movie that is Oscar nominated.
I watched this on Friday. Very interesting movie. Gave a whole new perspective to the story. I remember it pretty clearly since I lived 20 minutes away from Tonya.
I particularly liked the way the story was told: Semi-comical innarration.

Not a film, but the wife and I have been watching Z Nation on Netflix recently. It’s kinda cheesy and campy, but damned if I don’t like it a hell of a lot more than I like The Walking Dead. That may be faint praise, but I suggest giving it a chance if you like zombie stuff.
There’s something like 55 episodes on Netflix, and we’re only halfway through season 1. I give it a solid 7/10 so far.
