I forgot about Zima Blue. That was good too. Last night we ended up watching Heavy Metal. Pretty much how I remember it.

I love Heavy Metal.

If you have Hulu, check out the South Park episode, Major Boobage. One of the best episodes ever.

I’d love to hear his review of The Unforgiven … that’s a cold ass movie too man

Shazam, anybody this weekend?

I watched it last week. It’s really not bad but it’s more for kids so I wasn’t really that into it. But it’s now my wife’s favorite superhero movie lol.

Ok I’m sorta in the mood for a more light hearted SH movie before going into End Game

Pet Semetary 2019

Have you ever met a domestic cat that gets all excited and jumps right into a stranger’s arms and starts purring? Neither have I.

From the start, something’s not right about this cat. We soon learn that it’s natural instincts have been suppressed by the evil Patriachy, which can be easily inferred just from the fact that it’s name is “Church”, an ode to one of the most toxically masculine war mongering males of all - Winston Churchill.

After being told to “smile” too many times, Church wanders off to the road and gets killed. After being buried in an ancient burial ground which is never referred to as an ancient Indian burial ground because PC, Church comes back as CAPTAIN MARVEL! Yes, it now behaves exactly like Captain Marvel. Uptight, wooden, humorless, catty, prone to hissing at toxic men. The only thing it doesn’t do is scream back when someone screams at it.

While the cat loses it’s shackles and turns into a strong, independant and empowered kitty that doesn’t feel the need to groom itself for society, other boring shit happens just like the original movie. Yes, they didn’t adapt the book. They fucking remade the MOVIE that was adapted from the book and condensed it into the first and second acts. Then they changed the kid that was killed and made up a fucking retarded third act with an awful new ending.

You know in the original movie there were those cool scenes at the start with the camera on the road while the bigass trucks drive towards, and over it to create a sense of forebroding? They’ve been relaced by JUMP SCARES. How the fuck can you logically create a jump scare with a truck with a container attached that makes the fucking ground rumble from a distance on a long, straight road? The idea itself is like an Austin Powers gag. The cgi technology nowadays is so much more advanced than in the 90’s. Why don’t you show the scary stuff like the Wendigo in the woods as described in the book that the original movie couldn’t?

Fuck, at least it was better than Captain Marvel.

That’s Disappointing! I was hoping it would at least be fun to go see.

The cat was funny when it came back to life.

Like Rodney Dangerfield funny? I’d pay money to see an undead Rodney Dangerfield cat…

No, that would imply the cats in the videos actually intended to be funny. You’re describing Jimmy Fallon.

This may turn out to be the best comic book movie since TDK. Hopefully WB went nuts and it gets the R rating.

Usually I’d be iffy about this but if anyone can pull this off, it’s Phoenix. Please DC, just this once! I have my fingers firmly crossed. Joker deserves his own ‘Logan’. Hopefully this is it.

The first real novel I read when I moved to the U.S. was written by Stephen King. I then became a fan of his work and promptly binge read every book of his that I could find.

I found Pet Semetary terrifying, as I get older and see how grief affects people the core ideas behind the book feel darker and sadder.

So… I find the ending to this movie unfortunate.
