The Return of Even More Movies You've Watched This Week III

The Jungle Book will make a jaded adult feel like a kid again. The cgi animation is so realistic it’s not funny. Christopher Walken sings!

Yeah I liked The Jungle Book. It was good, not great though. CGI and voice actors were amazing, but the kid that played Mowgli was just ok. I’m not sure what was wrong with his performance, but it just seemed like there was something missing. Still worth watching though, especially if you have kids.

Totally agree, Push.
I was recently thinking about remakes. If one were to be optioned today, what actors and directors would you consider worthy of a remake?

Hardcore Henry. I totally loved it but all the reviews are tearing it to pieces.

I can 100% guarantee that if you like action films you’ll enjoy Hardcore Henry. 100%.

Forgot to mention this one. Hardcore Henry was a fun movie. Dumb as a bag of fucking bricks, but cool and fun. If shaky-cam makes you dizzy or nauseous though, this movie will fuck you up bad.

Thank fuck you liked it mate because no one else seems to! I mean obviously it’s no Citizen Kane but as far as modern action movies go it’s the best I’ve seen in years.

They made it by strapping GoPros to stuntmen which I think is pretty cool

How shaky is the camera compared to Cloverfield? I can handle Cloverfield levels of shakiness but Quarantine/REC 1, 2 levels will make me throw up.

This youtube channel is fucking hilarious:

Pretty fucking shaky to be honest. I thought after the first 10 minutes or so I wouldn’t be able to handle it but you get into it after a while and it’s fucking intense!

Give it a watch, mate. If you can handle the shakiness I guarantee you’ll enjoy it.

Worst I’ve ever seen. It usually doesn’t bother me, but the first chase scene left me feeling a little spun out. Seriously though, if you can get past that part, the rest of it is fine.

Re: Harcore Henry

In 2000, I bought a PlayStation 2 when it first came out. It was bundled with Frogger and during the intro of the game, you float above everything then zoom into Frogger do a 180 and then pull back. It gave me such bad vertigo I returned the entire console.

I think I’ll be passing on Harcore Henry.

Alright thanks guys. I’ll wait for the dvd.

“The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari” -A German silent movie from 1919. Somebody called it the first horror movie. The sets looked like your high school drama club crossed with Tim Burton. The slow piano, horror movie music was really good. It even had a cool twist ending.

It was kind of interesting to see the whole world was into mystical stuff like trances and hyponotism back then. The story happened in Germany, and the bad guy was Italian. The bureaucrats sat on these tall, pointy stools, then walked like they had sticks up their butts.

Anyone seen the new Captain America yet ?

I saw The Jungle Book. Mmmeeehhhhhh it was ok I guess.

Christopher Walken sings in the same weird way he talks, which was worth the price of the ticket. Other than that I’d say my enjoyment was moderate.

Going to see it tomorrow Max, with a Max here in Omaha.

Captain America was great…lots of action and laughs…wish I had went to the 3D version…

Captain America was pretty good. I’m just not big on comic book movies, but my son loves them and I enjoy his enthusiasm during them. I did see it in 3D. I think it says on the job application that if you want to be a camera man for the film, you have to have Parkinson’s.
