And yes, me and my girlfriend now both conceal carry, always. We do not hang around long in any area if it’s around here. we don’t walk, and we most definitely don’t sit in our car anymore at least here. It’s sad we need to drive 15 mins out to feel safe, since me and her like to sit and smoke, vibe out to music, but too worried about being ran up on haha
It gets tiring but we’re still chillin. Makes me appreciate my loved ones alot more, shit can go south really fast.
Hey boss, just a quick bit of advice. You mention you carry, I actually worked at a shooting range when I was younger, helped instruct the concealed carry courses. Learned a lot, to include a lot of the legal side of carrying. Idk if you have your concealed carry permit, but if not, get it. Better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6, sure, but if you ever do need to use it, and you were illegally carrying, it seldom ends well.
Edit: this is if you are in a state that even requires one, I know that varies wildly across the states

I seriously doubt we would ever need to use our firearms. And I really don’t have any wish to use one. But seeing the state of society today, I really just can’t trust people to be sane, moral, and sensible anymore… It’s a bit scary to be honest
Glad to hear it. I’ve been around guns my whole life, worked at a range, was a gunnery Officer in an earlier tour, and have handled weapons plenty in the military, and I still 100% share your sentiment of hoping to never have to shoot a round at anything other than paper. (Well, maybe elk, but that’s different lol)

630 moved good. not fast, not slow, gauging from how it felt, I’m going to say my max is definitely around 665 right now. I was struggling with 600 conventional when I deadlifted 670 sumo. I’m going to guess if my sumo form gets honed in again, I’m lookin at around 700 at least
And I finally got those bottles. One of them is DMZ. The other is a stack… Methylstenbolone, and Epistane. I’m going to call up my old coaches in Colorado and ask them for some advice. I’m sure they’ll give me some good guidance. Going to sit on these. but I do plan on using them at some point.

Week 9 Training Recap
Taking a few days off. Body is obliterated.
Beside that. Progress has been good. My Paused Benching has been the strongest it’s ever been, and I am benching on a competition setting with a comp bench. Flat Heels, Legal Equipment. 315x10 paused is a big goal of mine. I will attempt 405 only when I can that for a couple sets smoothly.
Seated Overhead Press is still feeling amazing. Goals for that right now are eventually 275x5 and 225 for sets of 12-15 reps.
Laid off the squatting for now, since my hips feel beat.
important training note Deadlifts off the Plate Loaded Lunge brings me DOMS like none other. I have never had any leg assistance excercise load my hamstrings and glutes as hard as that does, not even Hyperextensions. It’s becoming a very valuable assistance movement. I don’t know how much I can pull above my max on this, I haven’t tried, but gauging 565x5 a few days ago, I’m going to assume its just a bit more, but not much. What I’ve been finding is a few things 1) it removes some of the upper back from the equation. To finish the lockout it feels more like a power shrug, and you get the squeeze of the lats at the very top of the lift, but you do get a monster squeeze at the top in your upper back, way more apparent than normal 2) It is Hamstring, Glute and Low Back Focused. The position it puts me in, naturally makes me shoot back my hips already, kinda looks like this leg positioning: / when I start. But it’s not quite a stiff leg, feels a little different than it. Outside of this, it’s not much different feeling wise as a deadlift.
Everything is going in an upward trend at the moment. I’ve been slacking with my food intake the last few days so I’m going to use the next few days to make up for that.
Goals for next week… 295x10 Paused Bench, 3x240x5 Seated OHP, 495x10 RDL, 485x10 Box Squat Raw, 585x5 off the plate loaded lunge.

I lied. I went in. Hit 585x7 as a new deadlift PR.
Found a new training partner and he convinced me to go today, and im glad I did. After the 2nd rep, I noticed just about the entire gym mirin and I was like fuck… Now I really gotta go 100% lol. Sad I couldn’t get the 8th but I did try.
Doing all my upper and lower exercises tomorrow and Wednesday.
Gonna lay off the deadlifting and go for 585x8 next week… I got it halfway up the 8th rep… I’m pissed I didn’t get it.
edit: My training partner noted something and just sent me a text that was very interesting. He said it seemed like I am working in reverse to most lifters. Most start strong and decelerate, but he said I went from explosive, to slow at mid shins and then extremely explosive at the lockout, as if my chain is going from top to bottom instead of the other way around. It give me very good insight since my training is heavily upper back focused. He did say it looked like a power shrug more than a squeeze at the top

I check in on this every few months. Almost 3 years of progress charted right here, starting from May, 2021 when i would’ve been 18. It’s accounting for my bodyweight at 230. All estimates but I like to see it visualized. Interesting to note my bench dipped significantly but my squat and deadlift went up… I do paused benching now though, and I’m going to attribut that dip in that. I also noticed one glaring issue, I don’t close grip bench anymore. I’m gonna fix that!
Theoretical Wilks is 480 which is nice to see on paper haha but real life is different lol (this also doesn’t account for knee wraps)
