The Really Heavy Method

It’s crazy how strong you are. Congrats! Can’t wait for the day you squat two apartment buildings.

A lot of carbs and a massive amount of Stims lol.

I’ve been experimenting a bit with Adrafinil as a PWO, one of my buddies uses it for college. It’s definently not the safest thing to do but it works… really well. crazy tunnel vision

obviously not saying to try it, but it’s a fun experiment. I only use it on days I know I’m going to be in there lifting some heavy ass shit lmao

Week 7 Training Recap
(Lmao Way late)

Training has been going good. Major PRs in alot of things. Shoulder Pressing will still be a major compound movement, I am actually falling in love with it. I will still be paused Benching but not worried about progress. Im wanting to build up to 275x5 eventually.

Squats have surprisingly progressed despite the shit frequency. It felt amazing to go heavy again. I will be going back to box squats for a week or two before attempting another heavy squat.

I will also be transitioning to Sumo Deadlifting again. I’ve been doing conventional deadlifting and accessory work for the last 2 months and I think it’s time to get my sumo back in action.

Important note: I’ve been experimenting with Adrafinil and Flmodafinil lately. Its a non-amphetamine CNS Stimulant but it works. Gives me insane tunnel vision and hyper focus, and the adrenaline release is ridiculous, any weight that’s on the bar is going up haha. Alot of my buddies uses it for college studying and they liken to Adderall but the lite version lol… Maybe 40% of what it is. Way fucking stronger than any pre workout I’ve tried but also a bit risky to use. Not recommending to no one

Well I knew it would happen.

Looks like someone tried to break into me and my girls car, luckily they didn’t succeed but they smashed in the keyhole and took the entire handle with them.

Have to crawl through and unlock the door from the passenger side but it looks like it didn’t work. Nothing’s gone and also the car is still here so that’s cool lol.

Fun thing to deal with on lunch break

Shit brother, I’m sorry to hear that. Lived in a few rougher spots when I was younger, I know the anxiety that’s brings. Glad you’re moving to a better area, but still sucks you have to deal with this. Insurance gonna handle it?

That’s terrible to hear man. I hope that bastard ends up shot dead in the dumpster somewhere. SMH

You going to be alright financially though?

Well…

i’ll just leave it at that lol.

Lived in a few rougher spots when I was younger, I know the anxiety that’s brings.

Yeah… colorado is much safer than the area here in Michigan, this area was a last minute type of deal. The situation in CO was dicey and we pretty much had no notice. So we packed all our shit, chose a state and drove there, pretty much winging it lol

It gets tiring though, having to worry about getting into a fight, getting robbed, getting hurt… we’re dealing with it the best we can. Too bad people can’t be decent human beings.

Yeah we’ll be fine. We’re just going to leave it as is, no one can get in, but it is a hassle having to unlock it from the passenger side.

We live pretty minimalistic, anything cosmetic wise isn’t a big deal. As long as its secure haha

Crazy ass shit happened tonight. Somehow… I met a friend I haven’t seen in 3 YEARS AT 2AM in the gym here, me and her locked eyes and I literally screamed out “No fucking way”. It was unbelievable. Me and her spent at least an hour getting caught up with one another and seeing what we missed in the last three years.

Also right before this, I got hit on by 2 chicks. They were so insistent and pushy, after they realized I wasn’t interested at all and I just wanted to lift, I watched as they jumped between every dude who walked into the gym, didn’t even watch them do more than two exercises. Shit was funny as fuck.

This entire session tonight was just a fever dream. Was just planning in to get some quiet work and it ended up being one of the funniest sessions I had in awhile. Lively atmosphere lol

I discovered how to hook up my phone to the gyms speakers through the TV. I’ve been listening to heavy viking metal since I got here. Feels awesome to have the music ringing throughout the warehouse

I think I’ve found a new deadlift accessory that is pretty much exactly the same setup as a regular deadlift but just allows me to not use my stabilizers as much. I think this has potential and a good way to overload with reps, took it easy since I just deadlifted yesterday lol

Quad development has been going great. I’ve been making a conscious effort to train them more. I usually avoid any extension movement because it hurts my knee but I’ve been finding ways around it

Edit: Finally uploaded. Cut the ROM short a little bit this first set… In my defense i do this like once a month lol

225x8 rep pr on OHP. 240x5 was SUPER sloppy and I think I got burnt out, but I got it. Decided to stick with machines and avoid anymore shoulder work since they feel smoked from the last 2 days of squatting.

Worked in with a lot of people since it was busy, and I guess everyone has seen me lift at one point or another, and I got bombarded with questions for training relentlessly. I really dont care if people stare or not at me, I’m more confused why no one approaches me when I’m doing the exercise but yet when I work in they ask questions about such and such that I did like a week ago :skull: i dont even remember tht shit thats why i got a log

Edit: 6 plates deep into Chinese food as a post workout meal … I’m going home and passing the fuck out lol

Week 8 Training Recap:

Training has been going awesome. I’m avoiding any heavy squatting, benching, and deadlifting this week and slowly focusing on accessory movements. Seated OHP is still progressing just fine. Wanting to push my RDL to 495x10, I’m doing an experiment and seeing if high rep work with RDLs will be a good replacement for touch and go reps for my deadlift. Never hurts to try.

Still using Fl-Modafinil. Im noticing some pretty unique things. CNS Fatigue isn’t really apparent on it (obviously not healthy since it’s forcing my CNS into overdrive.), especially after deadlift days, I can go in and hit PRs just fine and feel great CNS-wise, doesn’t matter what time of day it is. Again, never recommending this to no one.

I also got in contact with a buddy of mine. He reached out to me and said he had a few bottles of Epistane and DMZ leftover from his old shop, I’m talking pre 2014, since the EXP date says 2013 lol… Asked if I wanted it since he has no use for it. I decided to take them from him since it was free and I’ve got two bottles. I’m going to sit on these for awhile and consider whether or not I want to take that jump. I thought I should be transparent with it though. I already have some pretty extensive bloods from about half a year ago for an unrelated medical issue.

Anyways that’s week 8. Going into week 9 gonna be pushing the food and training hard as usual. Goals are: 485x10 RDL, 395x8 Row, 225x9 OHP. Bodyweight is still exactly the same at 227. Hasnt seemed to move up or down

What I’m finding about deadlifts off the lunge machine is that it seems to almost completely take my back out the equation (weird I know), it loads it all in the hamstrings, glutes and low back and that’s exactly what I want from an assistance leg movement.

Was originally gonna throw in leg pressing but my body is obliterated… I’m so hungry. I’d say this was a successful session regardless

The guy who is hosting the powerlifting comp told me he and his business partner are creating a fitness brand, wants to offer me a spot as a powerlifting anbassador in the future if I go compete, I’m super excited to see where that goes.

He’s really wanting the meets to be a big thing here in MI. Has been working towards it

Well… Another gas station argument, not surprised. this time some guy got mad at me I couldn’t spare a few dollars. Proceeded to yell at me from across the gas station. Me and him went back and forth for a bit and i kept telling him ‘i aint got cash bro’ and once he started walking towards me, I got in my car and drove off, him still cussing. Wasn’t gonna put me and my girl in a crazy situation again
