I do not think Trump is stupid I would bet he is a lot smarter than the average American (which is not saying much). I would say he is neurotic, low in agreeableness, low in consciousness but, a low IQ…I do not think so. Now, I do not believe these traits make for a good president but, I find Biden’s condition more concerning.
I equate “stupid” to be broader than just low-IQ - I think “stupid” is a dearth of all the mental faculties, including the ones you mention. And in addition to the fact that I’m not convinced he has as high-IQ as you do, he’s a resounding failure in all the the other mental stuff - emotional intelligence, curiosity, empathy, mental agility, etc.

This would actually make me less concerned. If someone is fearful of Biden declining mentally wouldn’t he just be out of office sooner?
Trump is full blown 100% nuts. We can look at speech after speech or tweet after tweet. If I have to pick between two old guys who aren’t with it mentally give me the one less likely to stay in power. Which one do you think is more likely to throw in the towel? Doesn’t matter what evidence you had of Trumps mental illnesses (we’ve done this not too long ago) the man is so tied to his narcissism that he will have to be dead to stop.
I can totally see people being fearful of Biden’s mental sharpness. And he remains a far better choice. I think that says a lot more about his opponent than him.
I mean people have some examples of Biden being nuts that always get trotted out. The problem is while they are “reminding people” of that Trump’s adding to his pile of nuts logs while that’s happening. Trumps twitter account alone has more batshit moments than possibly all Presidential batshit moments in history.
Low in openness and again not agreeable but, what politician is? I think very few. Biden has been accused of misconduct by many women, that does not seem very empathetic or emotional intelligent. Are both sides ever really curious and/or open to the others ideas? Nope. It is always my way or we burn this bitch down.
The biggest difference is that he is very neurotic and low in consciousness unlike most other politicians. He is not calculated, he has no filter, he says the first thing that he thinks of which often makes him sound stupid and/or spend time trying to “clarify” what he meant.
Be serious. Don’t equivocate and try and pretend Trump has behaved like a garden variety politician here.
For all of his faults, Biden has always excelled at connecting with blue collar folks and gotten their trust. Much of that has been solid emotional intelligence. Swing and a miss.
This is more nonsensical equivocation to cover up Trump’s massive faults. Every president before him had some level of curiosity about policy. Trump has no interest in learning anything new - about health care, economics, taxes, foreign policy, nothing. He doesn’t study, he doesn’t engage, doesn’t spend any time educating himself.
