The Push to 2020 Has Begun!

They’re too cowardly to tell us what we need to do: stay in school, don’t have kids out of wedlock and get a job.

Obama said this so did that NAACP asshole. It’s not white pepo holding us back. That’s weak minded lazy bullshit that losers believe.

Unless I’m mistaken, they do support black kids staying in school, having two parent homes, and giving them good jobs.

Do you think just telling people to do that will make them do it? Or do policies need to be put in place to encourage them to change? And if so, what policies do you favor?

Boils down to individual initiative brother.

So you just want someone to say it, not implement policy encouraging that behavior?

I’m a big fan of bootstraps, and it’s how I conduct myself personally. But, ime, most folks need a helping hand to get started and build positive momentum in their lives.

I said this in another thread (hell maybe this one ages back I dunno) but I believe that a lot of the public words coming out of democrat leaders mouths are equivalent to “it’s not your fault, you were put in this hole by____”

Now while that is certainly true considering the history of this country, I think it’s time that narrative changes. I could be wrong, but I think that’s what gorija is referring to. This messaging I perceive is independent of policy initiatives, which may be right or wrong in their own area.

But I think obviously policies to support said choices are good to have in place…however sometimes you gotta say “powers in your hands to make a choice”

Sounds like it’s a preference for tough love, vs a softer gentler approach. More or less.

And anyone who believes this bullshit deserves another 4 years of Trump.

No idea the total cost. Probably hard to calculate. It would require a tax increase on certain people that much is unquestionable. The question comes down to is it worth it. I’m not sure how I feel. Clearly what we’ve been doing isn’t getting the type of outcomes we should have for the current cost. I’m not sure a good free market healthcare exists that doesn’t fuck the people who need help with healthcare the most.

Who currently makes the cutoff decisions for government programs?

Why do all these need manipulated if that one does? We essentially do all of this already anyways to an extent. Aren’t you pro-life? What makes every kid being born and taking away a woman’s choice a right and not making sure that kid can live a healthy life?

Not trying to start a war just figuring out the difference in your mind. Who pays for that kid when dad flees the scene or mom can’t support the kid because she’s 15? Should we?

I think a combination is necessary and we did that in a different thread. However if someone truly thinks figure it out yourself is going to solve our issues I’m not sure why they haven’t solved themselves already.

We have access to all that already. Even more than poor rural people.

Yes sir

Do you want to keep those policies in place or remove them?

Other than a few words, what would you like to see done to help the black communities in this country? Or do you feel words are enough?

Good answer.
I see you aren’t bothering to listen to the Dems as they propose these very things.

This seems to be going out the window. Plan for their 2021 fiscal budget is to remove state protections that stop federal law intervening with state medicinal marijuana regimes… Trump isn’t reliable… Trump isn’t interested in what’s best for the country, he’s interested in what’s best for Trump… and whats best for Trump is whats best for the country @mnben87 @Californiagrown

If Trump believes marijuana is a massive threat to the country… it is… (this is how I legitimately believe he thinks)

Should be noted stage legalisation has nothing to do with the Trump administration. Twenty states could legalise recreational cannabis this year and it’d have nothing to do with Trump being in power. Federal overhaul on the other hand would (depending on the mechanism by which said overhaul is implemented) potentially mean the president had a hand at play here. With Cocaine Mitch the majority leader in Senate any bill in any way or shape leaning towards cannabis reform will be killed right off the bat…

Yep.

Won’t be voting for Bernie OR Trump.

Did you bother listening to or voting for Trump when he proposed them?

You however, l sincerely appreciate the reply.

I am merely saying that when free this and that are offered, in place of decisions made which are constrained by personal ability to pay, there isn`t enough money for all to live like a rock star.

Being against unbridled free enterprise, l am not oblivious to there being a necessity to tax and redistribute to some degree. Certainly not against my list of rights for minors. I am against corporate welfare for well connected prosperous corps.

I wish l had a fair solution, but giving away the whole store isn’t it.

You equate a wall with giving cadillac health insurance for 340mm people?

I would put the probability of Mitch McConnell using coke at slightly above 0. Why does he get such a sweet nickname?

But yes I agree with you. If anything further legalization would be independent of the GOP.

No I don’t see Dems proposing anything like Trump did which cost coverage for all Americans at a cheaper cost and at eliminating the debt during his term.

Say what you will about Bernie or Liz but at least they are attempting to say how they would do it. Republicans simply didn’t mind if Trump said he would do all the above, Mexico would pay for the wall, he wouldn’t touch entitlements as he eliminated the debt.

Nothing Democrats have said has been nearly as crazy as those things happening with zero plan. But Republicans didn’t need to see a plan from him. And none of those things happened.
