Your the one who made the claim that Trump is the more corrupt than the afore mentioned:
Meaning that you accept these people were corrupt and that Trump is more corrupt. What has he done that is more corrupt than the people on this list?
He who makes the claim, claims the burden…
I said I am not convinced that people have existed in high level politics that rival Trump for corruption and shady practices (in recent US history). If you have evidence that there is, share it, if not we should just disregard it until evidence is presented.
Why? Is it because that example clearly shows that the GoP is suppressing the vote?
Boom!
Where have we seen the abject failure of the proposed policies that the current iteration of the DNC is proposing for the entire country? Venezuela? Sure. Cuba? Close enough. China? Ding Ding!
But we don’t have to leave the U.S. we can look at democrat strong holds in the U.S. and by any measure they are in shambles. California? Would you like a side of human feces and dirty needles with that? NYC. What a damn shame. Perhaps the greatest city the world ever knew is being dismantled and destroyed. Portland? I think that one speaks for itself.
Where democrats are in charge, there is more poverty, less freedom, more strife, more income disparity, and more despair than anywhere else in the country.
But Orange Man Bad, so let’s vote that in so the whole country can live like that? Hell no!
Looking over the platform there is only one thing I agree with the DNC on, legalizing cannabis. The rest of it is so whack, it’s hard to believe they are running this platform in the U.S. It looks like they are running for seats in Ukraine.
Raise our taxes, lock us in our houses and create dependence on the government’s good graces to survive.
I voted for freedom and I am glad I did.
Turn out is going to be huge this election from what I see.
It was implemented by the GOP, so again not an example. The GOP governor could have struck it down with the stroke of a pen, instead he signed it. So you are citing an example of enfranchising not disenfranchising. This is not complicated. Hardly the place to dig in your heels, but go ahead if you want. What did they do to suppress the vote?
That is not what he said. This is exactly what he said:
And then I see the disinfectant, where it knocks it out in one minute. And is there a way we can do something like that, by injection inside or almost a cleaning…
You realize what the optics would be if the ruling party rejected a ballot initiative, right?
So what they did was sign it into law, then they also signed into law another bill that changed the meaning of the ballot initiative so that it meant something different than what the people voted for. The motivation is pretty easy to understand on this one. It was to suppress the vote of likely DEM voters in a swing state.
I am fairly reasonable. I am not someone who will nitpick the fact that degrees of corruption is subjective. I think we can all agree that something like bribing a judge is worse than not making a complete stop at the stop sign.
You can list the worst offense by any of these people, and we can compare to Trump’s actions.
“We in the World Health Organization do not advocate lockdowns as the primary means of control of this virus,” Nabarro said.
For those of us who advocated against this crap, past the initial 15 days, we were RIGHT!
Now the WHO, an authority to many, not me, is now saying lock downs should be only a last resort. That the damage caused by perpetual and reoccurring lock down is far worse than the risk of the disease. NO MORE LOCKDOWNS! There is no longer an excuse other than abuse of power.
Now the WHO has finally caught up, we where right! It’s time to open up America! The excuses are gone.
This isn’t even what we were debating. I agree they signed a bill into law to enact the ballot initiative. They also signed an additional bill to modify what the ballot initiative meant. They did so to suppress voting, as the ballot initiative original wording was far broader in regards to how many people would be allowed to vote.
How does the fact that they signed a bill into law because it would be terrible for optics if they didn’t, change the fact that they then produced another bill to limit voting right after?
Is that why the states that rank the worse in most metrics happen to be red? Is that why blue states have to subsidize red ones? Is that why Barack Obama was much worse for those things than GWB?
Anyone know why my google is showing the poorest states as Republican controlled? Must be liberal bias or something. I have no doubt that Alabama and Mississippi are drowning in wealth since they have been red for so long.
If the answer was this obvious no one would ever vote anything but red. But your point is completely moot. You’re so blinded to the idea (and have been for years) that any nuance exists in these discussions. You will drink the red kool-aid no matter how they change the flavors.
Last I had heard on the forum was you couldn’t trust the WHO, Gates funded them, they were awful. I guess that changes the moment they say something one is for?
I applaud you and @mnben87 for engaging pat, but I don’t know how you do it. As an example of his measured responses to World events, here’s what he just said about Obamagate:
Seriously, even Trump in his Twitter orgasm modified this statement to “This will be the biggest political scandal in American history” while trying to divert attention from his handling of COVID. If you ever want to be amused, read a transcript of Trump trying to explain what, exactly, Obamagate is.
I never understood how so many can post this type of logic, when it is so easy to look up. The blue do much better by nearly every indicator and the gaps is widening. See below.
I‘ve never cared what the WHO or other organization has to say about The Rona one way or the other. You know why? Because people aren’t leaving this world at any greatly accelerated rate, and I don’t need to be told that would happen if this were as bad as we were/are being told. I wouldn’t need experts to tell me something really bad was happening, if it were.
