The Push to 2020 Has Begun!

The killings stopped fifteen years ago. Kosovo and Serbia are part of CEFTA (Central European Free Trade Area) since 2013. So nothing new there.

This “peace deal” is so Trumpian - just PR, no substance. The only certainties were tiny tables, a signing ceremony and the fact that the WH will somehow try to cover up the fact that the President of Serbia is 6’6 because as not to upset the alpha male.

The Serbs and Kosovars were told to come to the WH on a specific date to “sign a peace deal” as part of Trump’s reelection campaign, while Trump’s envoy Grenell cobbled a document at the last minute by, among other things, asking journalists about what to include in the document and arguing on Twitter (!) about it.

It’s a bizarre little piece of political theatre.

They didn’t exist as far back as Reagan. I’m not old enough to know if they disappeared earlier.

This. I don’t remember Reagan or Bush I’s terms, but I assume those principles disappeared sometime before 1940…Robert Taft was unable to win the Republican nomination. If you have any principles other than “make Government and the Nanny State as big as possible,” your vote is going to be for the lesser of two evils.

Thanks, @loppar.

It’s all even more Political Show than I thought…but no surprise there.

That’s Trump’s thing…

Another thought on Polls.

I believe that where a Poll says that a race is close (like Texas and Florida are becoming, with Trump even taking a slight lead in Texas)…actually means that Trump is ahead.

Again…I just think that these Polls don’t know how to factor in what “Trump Support” actually is and what it means (mainly because of the “closet” or “silent” Trump support out there).

I will also reiterate something that I have always held firmly to…voting for someone is much different than voting against the opposition. In fact, I don’t think that the latter is support at all.

With that said…I think Trump has much more support than Biden does.

Yeah, but the Kosovo-Serbia puppet show is relatively harmless in the grand scheme of things.

Infinitely more dangerous is the Gulf “peace deal” in which the not-the-sharpest-tool-in-the-shed Jared outsourced all the boring stuff to MBS and MBZ, who’ve I’m pretty sure extracted a promise of war.

Here’s an influential advisor to MBZ bragging about how they own DC.

A war is coming and the desert Arabs will be laughing their asses off when the dumb filthy infidels are obliged to fight the takfirs.

Political show or not…

Trump is using the platform of the Presidency to the max; is “out there”…and is solidifying his support.

With less than 2 months until the election; the only surprise I see is Trump losing.

Was 21 when Reagan’s first term started.

I sound like a broken record, but the RINOs took over the party (virtually your entire lives) and changed it from it’s more traditional roots of strong stick but little desire of nation building, fiscal responsibility, smaller less intrusive government, actively Protestant.

Reagan had some liberalish desires - deficit spending, overseas spending trying to topple USSR. But Bush family is a primary driver of NWO. That is not the previous 100+ year tradition of GOP. It is different in many ways, while still not moving as left as the Dems had and continue to move.

There’s few Pat Buchanans on the natioanl political scene, so conservatives have either had to throw in with Trump or just capitulate to the insane march left.

Congratulate yourselves with your character, while Dems juice the system with every trick they can conjure up to try and grab power - open border, unchecked mail in voting, same day registration, vote harvesting, endless nanny programs, criminals voting, no id voting.

You guys act like all of these dont exist, but I got my character.

Yes. Third party protest votes don’t work. If you let perfect or good be the enemy of better, then you’ll get worse. The only reason I can see for a third party vote(or a Democrat vote, if the Republican is even slightly closer to you politically) is that you want to see an actual war.

Open border doesn’t mean no border. The alternative is closed border which means no one in, or out. That’s not good for business. Mail in voting is only an issue now. You need ID to register to vote and why should someone not be allowed to exercise a right because of some arbitrary deadline. No ID voting requires you still register (in every state but one) and registering requires ID.

I have 2 sisters in law from Mexico, son in law from Jordan - all legal. I’m referring to
Limitless unchecked immigration.

Lived in OK and zero id was needed, just say a name and get the ballot.

Mail in voting is totally different from early voting if no requests is made and mass mailings happen.

Look we did vote in person for hundreds of years - it isnt broken

The things i wrote are all designed to juice the vote - nothing more.

It’s amazing how he has elevated that to an art form over his past 40 years in public.

Eh, I’m not sure I agree with that. I’m not a libertarian and I don’t see every single government action as the result of RINOs.

Yep…Trump is the Master of PR, Smoke and Mirrors and bullshit.

Quite frankly, Biden doesn’t stand a chance.

(I find it interesting that PT Barnum was a businessman, politician and showman…who also switched from being a Democrat to a Republican! I honestly didn’t know that!)

So what you are saying is that these 3 peace deals with Kosovo, Serbia, Bahrain, UAE, and Israel is a bad thing, correct?

So it’s really a bad thing, not a good thing, right?

  1. Kosovo and Serbia didn’t sign a peace deal, it was merely a photo shoot during which they signed a non-binding word salad put together at the last minute. But it will provide a nice soundbite for Hannity and co - “historic peace deal” and “Nobel prize candidate”, much like Melania’s “five languages” a claim that no one will bother to fact check.

  2. UAE and Bahrain - what incentive do they have to sign a peace deal with Israel all of a sudden? MBS and MBZ are mired in an unwinnable war in Yemen and they want someone to destroy the Shiites once for all. It is an once-in-a-millennium opportunity because a bunch of dumb, money hungry grifters are in command of (still) the dominant military in the world. So they have to milk the Trump administration for what it’s worth.

(OUCH…! :grimacing:!)

On a serious note:

Peace and trade agreements are serious “grinders”; often taking years of serious diplomatic muscle and expertise…and the putting into place of (often imperfect) checks and balances.

They aren’t “events” put together by inexperienced members of a President’s Administration.

So these peace deals are all bad then, right?

So are you saying these peace and trade agreements did not happen? What makes you think this wasn’t the result of years of serious diplomacy? If it’s so simple and such veneer, why couldn’t Obama do it instead of dropping more bombs on the Middle East than the Bush administration?
