The Push to 2020 Has Begun!

Yep.

All Trump really has to do at this point is:

  1. Shut-up.

  2. Stop Tweeting; and

  3. Have a few more COVID Rally’s.

MAGA
4 more years…guaranteed!

I will take 2 quarts of whatever that moonshine you got there is, my friend :grinning:

I don’t think trump could do either and I also think he shouldn’t do either if he wants to get re-elected.

I don’t think this matters. Let’s say the Atlantic story is true and Trump did say those things. Who would he lose and in what quantity?

He’s said awful things about people on a daily basis for years now. Sure some stick out more than others but he’s already talked shit on military people multiple times. Not only would finding out this is true not be surprising (it’s believable because it sounds like the shit he’s already said) I also think it’s effect would be limited.

The people who have wore red hats for 4 years it will have zero effect on. His speech and rhetoric has been explained away and deflected for years now. You’ve seen it numerous times on here and we don’t even have people who are really diehards.

He’s already talked shit on the military, POW’s, etc. If that didn’t disqualify him for some people why would any new comments?

I don’t trust Breitbart at all since the Bannon takeover, but if it’s anything remotely like it is being presented here then I actually support this move wholeheartedly.

I’m willing to bet the optics on this are going to look great with voters (at least until the inevitable other shoe drops, but it shouldn’t happen til after the election).

This doesn’t matter that much because…

This is something that more and more people are going to be doing in the workplace. I just had to sit through 3 hours of this bs at work. Some white woman in her 20s, who goes by they and them and told us how she grew up in a predominantly white town, was going to teach me how to talk to black people based on her personal experience of wokeness when she went to college and recognized her implicit biases.

As often is the case; you guys are right.

I’ve said it before, but I sometimes have to remind myself…Trump’s negatives have been “baked-in” now going back probably before he was an official candidate running for President. What he says or does has little effect on the Voter “needle” whereas Biden simply doesn’t have that luxury.

Advantage=Trump.

This…sadly…

Now we’re getting somewhere mu. I like the hard stance you are taking. By God, stand your ground.
I cannot speak for anyone else, but I do think that widespread death has already happened, there has been destruction, heart ache and misery spread to, too much of the population already. 33 people because of one guy, who everybody agrees was mistreated at the least.
The Dam convention addressed it, but they keep calling it “peaceful protest”. On CNN they literally stand in front of a low income housing project engulfed in flames and said the protests have been “peaceful”. I watched it with my own 2 eyes. What ahould I reasonably think, those protests were peaceful or CNN was lying? What should I believe, what I see happening or somebody narrating it as if nothing is happening?
We are at a crossroads here and now. We can move in the direction of peace and democracy or we can move toward something terrible. I only wish it was hyperbole. The left needs to join the right and condemn the violence universally and we can walk together with different ideas we can discuss. Or the left can embrace the violence, down play it or flat ignore it and support it and adopt the ideology of the violent protesters and we can have civil war. The latter is what is currently happening. If the democrats do not condemn and stop the violence, we will end up badly.
The violence is on the left, if you choose the left, you have no choice but to accept that fact. Then you can choose to condemn and call for it’s end or support it. But take heart, if it continues the right will get violent too. Whay comes next is uglier than we can imagine.
How many times have we thought “It can’t happen here.” And then it does? How many times has hyperbole and the surreal become reality just in this year?
The lines have been drawn by others, I want to be on the side of democracy, freedom of speech, and capitalism. What side do you want to be on?

This ought to be interesting.

Well, there go the talking points.

I dunno…one group is actively breaking things and hurting people right now and the other group is silent…

You often seem eager to take stories at face value. Fair enough. That Politico article didn’t name a single person, group, or specific action. It doesn’t explain how white supremacists are even identified. No links were present to follow to other sources. That may pass your smell test, but it doesn’t pass mine.

I’ll ask the same question I did in Mufasa’s thread a year ago. Who are these people? What are they doing? I know of the KKK and various neo-Nazi groups who could certainly stir up trouble if they set their minds to it, but that hasn’t been happening that I’m aware of.

I’ll also stand by my take on white supremacy in the USA from a year ago. We’re now living with the consequences of advancing the notion that white supremacy is not merely a threat, but thoroughly pervasive in our society, our business practices, our institutions and especially our LEO community. This absurd narrative has been cultivated for years now by mainstream democrats, actually emboldening actual left-wing terrorists to actually step out of the shadows and take actual destructive actions.

If you can’t see any distinction, you may have TDS.

From a year ago…

It’s more than that. White supremacy is an inherent part of being white. This is why they advance the notion that a white person is either behaving like a racist or actively fighting his inner, inherent racism. Supposed products of whiteness like linear time, capitalism, democracy, science, math, monotheism, the nuclear family, individual freedom, etc., are all manifestations of white supremacy.

Part of the problem is that many believe Trump is, let’s use a general term like bad, but they can’t believe he is as bad as the media portrays him to be. The idea that he is “like, literally Hitler, you know” is not believed by many people. When they say Trump is the greatest threat to American democracy and an existential threat, they lose people. When they blame Trump for rioting (because that never happened before) people don’t buy it.

Far from it, I pass them along for consideration.

It’ll never pass yours, regardless of evidence, unless it confirms your worldview.

My interest in this that DHS didn’t have left-wing boogeymen as the clear winner - which undermines the campaign of fear. Even if DHS landed on “white supremacy groups and Antifa tie for #1 on the threat list”, that still lays bare the fiction being attempted that left-wing crazies are one election away from thousands of burning cities, etc.

Meaning, as I said earlier - there go the talking points.

Can you also post that in the Stupid Thread? It’ll fit right in there.

Great.

It doesn’t exist, @twojarslave.

Case closed.

I don’t disagree - but the threat assessment is about more large scale problems that these groups are not going to announce in advance. Antifa isn’t making the top of the list - my guess is for two reasons: it’s not a terrorist group and it isn’t a threat to conduct large scale violence. Other groups are.

We know it’s none of these things because both Trump and Barr made reference to being aware of the “movements” of black clad left-wing revolutionaries and where they were headed and did…precisely nothing to stop them.
