Everyone knows that reporting second-hand quotes from unnamed sources as fact is an important feature in the #resistance. How else would we know that Trump worked with Putin to steal the election by tricking people into voting for him? How else would we know about the imminent white supremacist threat posed by Trump’s white supremacist base? How else would we have known about Justice Kavanaugh’s many acts of rape? How else would we have learned the sad story of the noble Native American activist Nathan Philips who was surrounded, threatened and mocked by teenagers in Trump hats?
More importantly, how dull would these conversations be if people didn’t eagerly take stuff like this at face value and harshly judge the people who don’t?
What polls was that daily wire article talking about? Unless they’re referencing the one poll with Biden only up 2, which would be the same cherry-picking as saying the most recent one has Biden up 11.

If the Atlantic article was made up, I’ll be happy to eat crow. My past experience with the Atlantic has been that they lean significantly left in opinion but are usually factually accurate.

I am beyond skeptical when not even one of the sources can be named while multiple named sources dispute it.
No one can be named, because Trump would order a hit on any identified source. Because he worships fascist dictators. And no prior President was as awful. And he hates puppies and babies.
Does it seem, even a little bit, out of character for trump? Or does it seem completely in line with his past actions and words? Personally, its just adding to the pile of shitty things he has said and instances of disrespect toward military heroes. Not new information about trump.
I believe in the Vice interview, or one of his other interviews he says he is 100% anti-facist, but does not consider himself part of Antifa. Does it really matter? World is better of with him out of it.

I have a tough time believing trump when he said that the United States Secret Service did not have a safe backup plan to drive to the cemetery and that they had only planned a helicopter flight… meanwhile, ALL other leaders were able to make it. YMMV. At the end of the day though, its not like the Atlantic article is changing anyones mind about what trump thinks of vets and war heroes… that has already been well established.
Yeah maybe so. It certainly plays to the various tropes people hate about him. On the other hand, he’s already done that numerous times himself. So it’s not like it’s completely out of character.
Yeah. He’s a rich kid. But more importantly: I don’t know much about Trump and don’t love his political views…but I do know I detest those that oppose him most strongly. I pull for Trump merely for the sake of seeing them in tears(some literally).

If a person feels powerless or insignificant in their life, the easiest way to achieve power is to make other people angry; every internet troll has known this since 1993 and every toddler has known it since the dawn of time. Confidently asserting a belief that the mainstream finds outrageous or offensive – ie, that Trump is the smartest and most righteous man alive – enrages the normies. That gives the believer power over them. It’s like a wizard’s spell: The believer has profoundly altered somebody else’s mood just by repeating a few key phrases.
