I used to think the GoP was the master of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Now I stand in awe of the current Dem strategy.
My bet is on Putin. He’ll have a plainclothes man in the crowd with poison darts, just watching his back. Making sure the Mongolian terror doesn’t get too close to him with that bat.

It’s unreal. The weird thing is Dems are probably going to pickup a bunch of seats but I see a limited chance of Trump losing at this point.
And it’s crazy how effective it has been for him to say in Biden’s America things will be bad all while being the current President while things are bad (and arguably not even attempting to help).

That is exactly what is happening to Biden and the Dems. The bar has been so low for Trump for so long that simply telling us who we all know he is…(and have known for years)…is not a winning strategy.

Yep. To switch to “well, this is Trump’s America” now only triggers the thought “oh there you are now that the polls show staying quiet is a losing strategy! So it is a problem that needed serious attention!”
In their bid to not alienate the furthest left they’ve begun to turn off too many others. Finally the polls begin to shift and pundits begin to worry. Too late, now it just looks incredibly opportunistic. They had this election. Had.
“Just a few cities” was a terrible response. Just flat out condemn it and support shutting it down ASAP. That’s all that needed to happen.
The Trump’s America crap wasn’t going to work. Trump’s America isn’t doing the looting and burning.
This was an issue that they needed to fall into step with Trump on. It should’ve been neutral. Pick your battles elsewhere.

Do you think Biden has lost any of the folks who voted for Hillary in 2016? I dont see why he would have. It seems like instead he has lost a lot of folks who voted for trump in 2016, but were leaning towards biden in 2020.

It seems to me like Biden has at a minimum maintained all Hillary voters, while gaining some 2016 trump voters. trump hasnt gained any hillary voters… so he has only lost votes, right?

How many of you are voting for him this time around? obviously you dont have to answer, but my point is that yeah trump will win back some of the 50-50 votes with this fearmongering spin, but he has to win ALL of those 50-50 votes to keep the voters from 2016.
Also, THIS IS TRUMPS AMERICA!! He is inciting the riots. He is simultaneously saying that he is only solution to the riots, while also saying that the riots are the democrats mess to clean up. He cant send in the troops to crush it because then he looks like a dictator to the constitutional conservative crowd, so he just keeps yapping and blaming, and dividing, and doing the damn opposite of what a leader is supposed to do.
