I agree! It’s a scare tactic of the far right and unfortunately some people are buying into it.
And Biden didn’t choose Warren, for example, but Harris. I see that as a rejection of the far left elements of the DNC.
Good point.
Question @thunderbolt23, @zecarlo and others…
Why do you think Harris and not Rice?
Do you think it boiled down to the two?
Maybe name recognition. Interestingly, they both have Jamaican roots.
Can we all at least agree that widespread voter fraud does not exist in the United States…and that State Election officials take their job as almost a “sacred” calling?
What the hell is Trump doing???

No one sees Biden as Bernie’s puppet

Uh, I wouldn’t put much faith (hehe) in the opinion writers for those impartial news sources. Some of them are probably still in high school.
Faith ![]()
Not saying Joe is aware of doing these…ha.
Let’s not forget, AOC was given very little time to speak.
Harris over Rice:
-
She’s fresh (nationally) and doesn’t carry any baggage re: Obama’s administration, which Trump wants to seize on.
-
She has won elections (Rice never has), so she’s got that experience in terms of retail politics, handling herself, etc. That’s an important skill. Trump’s win aside, no one’s first election should be POTUS-VP ticket.
-
Harris is a rising star - Rice is accomplished, but not considered a future party star that generates enthusiasm. Rice is a policy person who’s yet to step out and say “me next” in terms of an office.
Oh, and yes. Warren is an idea machine, and if he wins and wants her to serve, what she’s good at would be wasted at the VP position. I expect he’d rather see her driving policy somewhere, i.e., Treasury Secretary.
Thanks, @thunderbolt23.
Rice is smart and knowledgeable. IF Biden wins, I would imagine that she will end up in the administration.
Sorry for all of the questions; but what do you make of all of the time that was spent on Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer? Was it partly going to be a swing-State play?
Well…the GOP convention is up.
When you look at the list of speakers, it should be interesting.
The Republican Party has no new official platform for 2020. Instead, the Republican National Committee is pledging to “enthusiastically support the President’s America-first agenda” and “will adjourn without adopting a new platform until the 2024 Republican National Convention.”
Which is nonsense. And Trump is speaking 4 times. Four.
It’s clearly Trump’s Party and his agenda. Everyone else are no more than cheerleaders (no disrespect to cheerleaders) and sycophants.
It makes sense that he would speak the most.
I was moved by the passionate condemnation of left wing violence during the Democrat convention.
That will replace The Wall and Muslims.
Sorry, I wasn’t clear. Fixed it.
I didn’t watch it (nor will I watch the GOP one).
Are you being sarcastic, @Sloth ?
