The Push to 2020 Has Begun!

I think the threat of left wing lunacy will replace The Wall and Muslims. It’s all about Covid and hoodies.

Yeah, at the GOP convention, I agree. It’ll be all law and order and America first. Predictable fare.

Ain’t I a stinker?

We have numerous instances of Trump bashing people that he himself has chosen for jobs or people in his administration. It’s like he picks people then doesn’t like what they say/do and says they are fucking idiots.

Honestly it’s hilarious.

Dear God. This is banana republic stuff.

I can see the chants.

“What do we want? Whatever Trump does. When do we want it? Whenever he says!”

I’ve been saying this for a long time now that Republicans have decided that they are for whatever Trump is for even if it is the exact opposite of what they wanted the day before. To see them not even pretend that isn’t true though is surprising.

Congrats Republicans you’ve just said you’re into what he’s into. Which might not be so bad if he wasn’t incredibly intellectually lazy and an egomaniac. Trumps in a restaurant and all Republicans are simply saying “we’ll have whatever he’s having even if he’s ordering shit.” And they aren’t even acting like it’s not true.

At least, whatever it is, it will come with ketchup.

What’s the over/under on how many times he contradicts himself during these 4 speeches?

You may recall that Trumpkins were into a thing about Alpha and Beta men, and how if you didn’t support Trump, you were one of those weak Beta types, “libs” who did what they were told.

Now look. Republicans are nothing but a squad of obsequious worms.

They’ll be back when De Blasio is gone and it will be on their terms.

Precisely. They won’t return to De Blasio’s dukedom while he is running it, which I don’t think is quite what he thinks.

Don’t be surprised if at some point in the future, De Blasio and his wife find themselves in trouble with the law. Over 800 million dollars doesn’t go unaccounted for by accident.

Edit: not to say they won’t, but that’s bush league compared to the Pentagon. 800 million is a rounding error to them.

Called this ages ago during the election. My only question is whether it splits the party or they manage to rebound.

At this point, I’m kinda with George Will on it. Fuckers need to be reminded that they need spines. They deserve a shellacking.

No clue, but I’m not gonna take that bet! Too easy to lose :joy:

I have been saying on here numerous times that Trump has put Republicans in a position of “I guess we’re for this now.” I just didn’t expect them to completely say the party is whatever he wants it to be. I expected their actions to remain the same.

If you aren’t Christian this won’t pertain to you.

"[Satan] always sends errors into the world in pairs – pairs of opposites. And he always encourages us to spend a lot of time thinking which is the worse. You see why, of course? He relies on your extra dislike of the one error to draw you gradually into the opposite one. But do not let us be fooled. We have to keep our eyes on the goal and go straight through between both errors. We have no other concern than that with either of them. " - C. S. Lewis

So yeah, they “unarrest” each other. They’re bailed out quickly if they do get arrested.

Edit: oops, wrong thread. Will just leave it for now.
