Nothing to add…but this…!
While also saying they are the same party as 50+ years ago.
Im saying dems are different from 3-4 years ago, abetted totally by white liberals like on this board. Ones who has created, nutured, and financed a vision of the US being a commune from the 60s full of love and peace. Why don’t you ask your parents how assinine (sic) that all was.
Trump is going to destroy the US and plunge the world into war screams the MSM billions of words for 5 years to counter your neverending Obama lovefest. But you can’t tangibly show this in any meaningful metric, without there being some Dem complicity or equally egregious unilateral action.
We all can see what this moral libertarianism is breeding - idiots in the streets, classrooms, and trying to create laws to destroy every vestige of our foundation.
And Trump has emboldened some Natl Front? hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
I guess zero of them live on the West Coast hahahahahahahahahaha
Actually there is absolutely ZERO proof of this being anything except a dream of anti Trumpers, who now now hate the GOP.
Oh and are still “Conservative”…
You mean the article from the esteemed medical journal Counterpunch that (by the way) says hey, Biden lies a lot but also Trump’s lying is exceptional and unusual even among presidents and politicians because he doesn’t care if people catch him in a lie?
Which is pretty much textbook pathology?
Thanks.
Going to mow a democrat’s yard as a sign of bridgebuilding.
Well my parents, so ill be out of the loop here a bit
And you don’t think Republicans are? Could you have imagined in 2012 when the RINO movement was strong that Republicans would run someone who advocated for universal health care, said the debt doesn’t matter if we default and then said we can’t default because we print our own money? Did you think they would run someone who counters free trade long a Republican ideal? Did you think they would run someone who would raise taxes on numerous people? Did you think they would run someone who paid off people who were adversely hit by said trade war? Someone who would make attacking the first amendment a hallmark of his Presidency?
I just don’t see how one can say look how different the Dems are and not see the hypocrisy when Republicans are vastly different than pre-Trump. You’ve seen five years of Republicans saying “well I guess we’re for this now…”
Heh, it’s like watching people fight over the better STD.
Emboldened? No, National Front is a political party:
Trump is remaking (remade?) the GOP into an American version of it.
This is a talking point that you have gleaned from some marxist source. And l will add, without an iota of original thought from yourself.
If l am wrong, then give me several points that show how GOP has moved so far right as to be Fascist. I will give my uncopied reasons on why l think Dems are Marxist.
-
Refusal to enforce national borders including desire to obfuscate existing statutes and by such - their enforcement and regulatory personnel
-
Various redistribution schemes such as: mandatory government healthcare with stated penalties for non participation
-
Active prosecution for not bowing to laws which ignore biology in favor of self identification
-
Allowance and encouragement of violent civil disobedience and destruction of both private and public property. Added bonus of disregarding laws protecting citizens against personal violence. Extra bonus of desiring to dismantle security at many levels - abolishing border patrol, ins, and now local/county police forces.
-
Calls to more or less make private gun ownership unlawful
-
Willingness to encourage reparations for slavery, knowing full well there is no way to implement
-
Abuse of the legal system to break multiple laws against a political opponent/duly elected official
I don’t have to bother with other known Marxist tactics such as an incessant drumbeat to legally attack in order to rid the country of Christianity from participating in society, Federal support and protection of abortion and its cousin - euthanasia
I’m sure the legions of unnamed white supremacists forming the core of the Republican party are waiting to be emboldened just a little more. I imagine they are waiting for just the right tweet from Trump before they finally step out of the shadows and act. Any day now.
Its such a shame about the pockets of violence and chaos breaking out. If only we didn’t have such a problem with white supremacy, none of these expressions of justice would be necessary.
Nope, been saying it for years. I even think I said it in PWI before.
Not true - Democrats supportes additional border security (just not a pointless wall) and Obama deported more people than any other president.
Mandatory participation - whether good or bad - isn’t redistribution of resources.
I have no idea what this means.
This is an exaggeration, just stick to the facts. Yes, they favor more gun control, but they don’t go this far.
Post proof of this. Not of individuals, but of a party broadly doing this and accepting it as ok. I’ll wait.
Nonsense. You seem to interpret every fringe idea or movement on the left as representative of left-of-center as a whole. It’s false. I don’t know a single liberal or Democrat who supports “euthanasia”. Where do you find this stuff?
Where is your list of US as remade into fascist?
On a related note - l see a circle not a straight line.
Facist, Marxist, Communist, Maoist are all names for totalitarian dictators in my book
Quoting myself from PWI in August 2017:
I’m not seeing the same thing as you - I don’t see (or read) people overincluding center-right folk generally. I’ve personally seen it used as it applies - to the folks attempting to transform the GOP into National Front.
Haha I retract the point.
You must be more devoted to this particular debate than l.
It read a little harsh on re-read, but hey trying to type and eat a sandwich before it gets too hot.
Oh and still dont agree
Fun fact, you’re in that thread like 10 post down. ![]()
No worries.
You’ll come around. ![]()
However, in the case of the car driver and his cowardly actual act - murder 1 and fry his ass.
Either we have free speech as long as it doesn’t amount to insurrection, or we don’t.
You’re right. Might cut and paste this in several current threads to save keeystrokes…![]()
“We’re going to have insurance for everybody,” Trump “There was a philosophy in some circles that if you can’t pay for it, you don’t get it. That’s not going to happen with us.”
You’re worried that Dems will fulfill Trumps promise?
From a humanitarian standpoint, access to healthcare to me is a subject that l feel should be considered.
Looking at the VA and some personal feedback from friends/family ummmmmm
But I realize Uncle Sam already massively involved in medicare, medicaid, VA
Huge subject but with some moral implications.
Not ready to die on that hill here in PWI.
I don’t think the issues with the VA, which is an embarrassment, have as much to do with government inefficiency and incompetence as much as it has to do with a country not caring about its veterans (except when elections come around).
My father had a friend who was a Vietnam vet who was in Italy visiting family (he was born there, came here as an immigrant and was in the US military before he was even a citizen). He had health issues and while he was there went to the US base that was nearby to see a doctor. He said he showed his military ID to get in and he received better treatment there than he had from the VA stateside. Not only was the medical service he received better but as soon as he showed his ID at the gate they treated him as if he were a visiting general.
I was in the hospital once (a regular hospital) to get an X ray done. I was waiting with this older man who looked to be in bad shape. We started talking and it turned out he had been a medic in Vietnam. I said to him that he must have seen some serious stuff and he just nodded and said oh yeah. He acted like what he had done was no big deal but I told him he was a hero. He was saying no he wasn’t but I kept saying he was and he eventually just smiled.
The thing that struck me was how he was alone. Someone wheeled him in the waiting room and left him there. I think he really enjoyed someone talking to him and making him feel that he was appreciated. It was just sad to see someone who probably risked his life on numerous occasions to save others being abandoned. These guys should have a place to retire to where they are with others who share their experiences and provide them with a sense of belonging to a family. This man was probably going to die alone. I guess this has nothing to do with the topic but whenever I think of the military and health care I remember that man.
Look at who we elected president. As a country we don’t care about veterans even during elections.
