The Push to 2020 Has Begun!

I didn’t really think of it as a whine when I wrote it. Just an observation. There’s really no comparison at all during my lifetime. Part of what you get is due to what you give, but sometimes it is because there’s a lot of money in making you look as bad as possible.

Perhaps there’s some virtuous journalists I’m being unfair to here, but this is a broad brushstroke I’m using.

What are the awful things he’s done? How have they led to the poor outcomes you believe he should own?

Which events do you find most noteworthy?

I chuckled when I read your post, trying to frame as if Trump doesn’t have much of a list and that you’ll be surprised to learn of them. It’s impossible to pick from such a vast list, so I will just go with the past few weeks:

  • Debasement and corruption of the DOJ
  • Use of military force against civilian protesters
  • Continued executive mismanagement of the pandemic
  • His rambling nonsensical answer when asked what he wanted out of a second term - reflecting ineptitude at best and mental instability at worst

It’s no longer a game of trolling and “yay, he’s mean to the Libs!”. The job isn’t Tweeter in Chief. This supreme wretch needs to be voted out of office with basic skills and ordinary integrity can have the job.

Thank you. I was interested in your reply, which is why I asked.

Edit: Just to be clear, there was no sarcasm there. I literally count on T-Nation to do my anti-Trump research for me, or at least shine a light on things I should really think about. I hate reading the news.

As when Obama was in office and the Limbaugh’s, Beck’s, O’Reilly’s of the world talked about socialist takeovers and getting your guns 24/7. By far the highest rating news programs and radio programs then and now.

Trump has assaulted the first Amendment and the press consistently. That may have been what you meant with the due what you give. Now of course in a perfect world this would have no effect on the press, but they are human and Trump treats them like shit often for simply asking him a question. They are the enemy of the people because the friend of the people wouldn’t criticize him.

IMO a big difference is that during Obama’s time it was trying to link him to stuff. Which is why Glenn Beck needed a chalkboard. It wasn’t typically direct words. Often a lot of Trump’s “bad” coverage is simply pointing out what Trump himself said, tweeted, re-tweeted. Not that I don’t think “creative” journalism exists in the least bit and clickbait type stuff because that’s the game now. But a lot of what has hurt Trump (and been reported on) is Trump’s own words. The press isn’t making him say outlandish stuff that doctors have to refute. They aren’t retweeting the only good Democrat is a dead one.

Same for me. I pretty much get my news from here by seeing what people are talking about and then reading about it more than anything. It’s been years since I watched a cable news show unless I’m in a waiting room or something.

I’m not sure they have a choice honestly, if you consider the political ramifications of admitting wrong. At least not Pence, who is stuck in this administration for however many years are left.

He can’t apologize. He’s never needed to apologize or ask forgiveness. I don’t think it’s calculated so much as stubborn. Unfortunately that doesn’t make it better.

Yes, people forget that FOX is the MSM. They’re the most watched network, and that’s without getting into the massive conservative radio network and local news that have been taken over by the conservative Sinclair Group.

You forgot the Russian bounties on US troops, aka “I’ll invite Putin back to G7” and the public statements inviting states to reduce Covid-19 testing.

That’s only the last 10 days.

If you would, please elaborate on what proposed policies spark this revulsion you feel.

Is it M4A? A transition to substantially less reliance on fossil fuels? etc

So many legs to this story… and I’m still wondering how this board/forum is gonna react

Well, we just had folks vehemently defending a trump tweet thanking a guy for shouting “white power, white power” , and also condoning the guy saying that.

My guess is those same folks are limbering up for these upcoming mental gymnastics and will say something along the lines of “dear leader cannot do anything without direct evidence that us troops were killed that wouldn’t have been killed had Russia not paid taliban fighters to do so”.

The problem is, trumpers are so used to defending trump that they have stopped caring what he has done (or not done). It’s simply a matter of defending dear leader from any and all attacks from “the leftists”.

Also, whaddabout the CHOP, and BLM and antifa? Hillary? Bengazi? Democrats stealing elections with fake mail in ballots!!?

Right, I’m here standing up for white supremacy. You’re just like that asshole in the video, you realize that? You avoid all nuance that’s right in front of you, call people racist and then get offended at how they react to you. It would be insulting if it wasn’t such a laughable and worn-out move from the woke playbook.

Other woke NPC’s will surely high-five you for your rhetorical brilliance. That’s before they revert to their default feelings of anger and confusion when they can’t understand why other people don’t agree with them.

They’re racists, that’s why. Yeah, racists!

Trump will deal with his pal once his golfing is done.

Hey I’m not the one who said the old white fuck shouting “white power, white power” was in the right.

You are.

I still can’t believe you are defending that. How deep down the anti-left rabbit hole have you gone? You’ve lost sight of all decency and are strictly focused on being anti-left without thinking about what you are defending. It’s sad.

You can’t form a coherent thought of your own, let alone join more than one together, so your brain short-circuits and you reach for your woke playbook. You run the only play in the book.

He’s a racist!

You cant form a single post in here that isn’t some gibberish kneejerk anti-left bullshit. There is nothing of substance to your posts- it’s only insults and Fox news buzzwords. Now you’re in such a frenzy to prove me wrong and denigrate me, you don’t even care if you are right.

You are condoning a old white fuck in the south yelling “white power, white power”. That stands on its own.

LOL at this thread.

@twojarslave trying to explain real life interaction and sarcasm to autists on the internet. Good luck, dude. It’s a losing battle.

The only approved response to being called a racist is to clutch your pearls, apologize, kneel down and ask for forgiveness.

Agree, it is difficult to win a battle if it involves defending POTUS retweeting a supporter yelling “white power, white power”.

No the response is “fuck you”, “fuck off”, “you’re the racist”, “shut up punk”, etc, etc.

Who the fuck responds “white power, white power” back? The same people who also use the n-word with a hard R. That’s who.

He didn’t defend POTUS tweeting it. He said it was a very bad thing to tweet.

He was defending the old guy in the video for the assumption that he was racist based on his sarcastic response to being verbally berated.

(I won’t be dragged into this. I know no one’s opinion ever changes.)

He is saying the old guy was totally in the right. He literally says in his posts further up that yelling “white power, white power” was “an ENTIRELY appropriate response”. His capitalization, not mine.

He also says the president should not have denounced what was said in the video.
