That’s five. And the last one?
Count again. I got all six.
It would probably depend on whether “President Sexy Liberal Model” was wearing lingerie at the time or not…
And quite frankly he is damn good at it, @thunderbolt23.
I’ve said it before…he is THE “Teflon Don” and is on track to weasel himself into a second Term.
MAGA.
4 more years.
They were already upset that AOC was dancing in a video. I suppose they’d all transform into mid-17th century Puritans in a heartbeat…
You nailed it. The chances that Trump and his inner circle decided to dump that (damning) transcript on a Friday afternoon and come up with some new “controversy” to get in the news cycle ahead of it earlier this week to distract are 100%.
That’s the power of the narrative I was talking about up thread. If I recall correctly, the “conservative” tweet that started all of that was some nameless account, which got picked up on, reported about and extrapolated to something along the lines of
“conservatives hate dancing college kids”.
Who were these people again?
Can you name a single conservative who was upset by that?
Hmmm… something tells me they’re not all Religious Right members though
It doesn’t work that way. If it did, then it would never have been considered a non content creator. Example: does Twitter have a terms of service posted? That would be considered content by your definition.
I’m not convinced. The Flynn transcript has landed with a bang.
And, there’s something to overriding your “trick”. Do it too much, and people catch on. Trump, only has that trick - and it’s wearing thin.
Inghram, there was a bit on her show IIRC
Yes. Because the next step is other media. And, I’m not a commie.
Interesting. That’s surprising because, well, who cares about dancing? What was her problem with it?
I couldn’t find the clip you mentioned on youtube. LOTS of people were talking about the “controversy” though, those videos showed right up. Those dusty old conservatives hate dancing! It’s all over youtube.
I used the search terms “Laura Ingraham AOC Dancing”.
IIRC something about it being insidious propaganda to make the female version of chairman Mao more palatable to freedom loving 'Muricans, and how it’s all a Democrat conspiracy.
Hmmm. That seems like an outlandish view that no reasonable person would hold, but why not run with it?
I did a little digging and see that the Huffington post named the conservative thought leader who speaks for us all. @ANONYMOUSQ1776 holds sway over most of mainstream conservative thought, as anyone with a Twitter account knows perfectly well.
I guess this is where I am in “analyzing” this election. (Which historically I am damn poor at!)
I see us approaching an election much like 2016. No; Biden isn’t as despised as Hillary…but other than the “anybody but Trump” vote; Biden is not exactly lighting any fires. Also; Joe has not had the fury that will be unleashed in him released yet.
Trumps base has been locked and loaded since…forever; have not wavered; don’t give a shit; and would be ready to Vote for their Emperor now if they could.
TO ME…that means that Trump needs to win only a small percentage in Key States…then VOLIA! MAGA/4 more years.
Is my analysis off? If so, where?
If I posted that a poster’s dead wife had been unfaithful, the same posters who are defending Trump would say I should be banned as well get my ass kicked by the widower. The things that I, and others, say about Trump, they would say about me.
Yet, they defend Trump. I don’t know if it’s because liberal tears really do taste that good or if maybe they really don’t care about a widower begging the president to stop. Maybe they don’t want to admit they support a man who is a vile, petty, cowardly piece of garbage. I know I would be embarrassed. I wonder if they are.
I was watching it in an airport lounge, in those days of yore when one could fly, and there’s was this woman with crazy eyes that provided the second talking head saying how they tried using dance to “humanize” Pelosi and Michelle Obama, and how this is all a plot to place blame on the Republicans.
My phone battery was empty and the charger was in my luggage, hence Fox News.
The widower was begging Dorsey from Twitter to make it stop. He knew the POTUS wouldn’t.
I’ll take your word for it, I suppose. If someone you can’t remember said something in a clip that doesn’t show up in a search, it must be a view many, if not most, conservatives hold.
If you stumble across it I’d like to watch.
No one has a crystal ball, but:
-
Biden ain’t Hillary. And horrible as she was, she still garnered more votes (in a low turnout year).
-
In 2016, Trump was the insurgent, the challenger. In 2020, he ain’t. Oh, he’s trying to be, but he’s been the most powerful man in the world in charge of the most powerful organization. He’s the incumbent, and 2020 will be a referendum on his tenure.
-
He’s hemorrhaging older voters who have not been impressed with his COVID dumpster fire response and his nearly sociopathic indifference to the suffering, especially of higher risk folk.
-
Can’t say for sure more broadly, but the business circles I run are significantly anti-Trump. Not because they’re liberals (they assuredly are not), but because the uncertainty caused by his circus act is increasingly bad for the economy and long term planning. Business support might he softer than you think.
