The Official Good Day Thread

Had to deal with my pain in the ass, micro-managing boss, who’s also very short in stature, so I gues that would make him my mini-micro-managing boss… Anyway…

But, I talked to a really great, sweet woman, who made the day a HELL of a lot easier to deal with and i’m grateful for her.

woke up next to my man.

now we’re gonna go lift.

the rest of the day will involve food, sex, and nap. all in the plural.

I want to be you when I grow up.

Yes, short men who suffer from Short Man Syndrome, otherwise known as general assholeness and dickiness, are a pain in the ass.

I’m glad you have someone who can do that for you. I had a very busy day today and when I needed to laugh or take a break, I had an awesome man I could talk to to make it better.

I dont want to grow up.

Great thread!

I just finished my first week of classes as a FT (was PT) Prof (BOOYAH!). Looks like I got a good crew. Looking forward to a fun semester!

Today was my proudest day on the bike. This morning was the 2nd (I think) annual Rist Canyon Challenge up in Fort Collins, CO. The course doesn’t seem like much, 26ish miles, 3500 feet of climb, but let me tell you the field was out to kick some ass. Team Astana’s own Jani Brajkovic was in attendance, and everybody was out to pound the shit out of that canyon.

I myself finished 12th in the citizen’s class of probably 80 guys, which is saying something being at 220 lbs. And while it also may not seem like much, this is the first ride I’ve ever legitimately beaten my father, who is also about 210 and one hell of an amazing biker. The legs wouldn’t stop pumping, and the heart wouldn’t stop pushing.

While nobody on these boards may have, or will have, ever heard of our little race, it was the best day I’ve ever had, and I’m on cloud fucking 9 right now (the 12 pack of the sponsor’s Scottish Ale doesn’t hurt…)

Get out there and give it everything you’ve got fellas, if you’re not at 110% you’re not pushing hard enough!

“assholeness and dickiness, are a pain in the ass” Very profound, Grneyes:)

It sounds like we both found people to make life a little fun and interesting. Another thing that we have in common.

I just took 4000 IU of Vitamin D and am now sipping on a glass of wine. I am feeling fan-fucking-tastic.

Today is a good day.

Laying in bed watching Firefly sipping in a protein shake with some Nesquik cocoa mixed in for some damn tasty carbs.

This morning’s breakfast consists of a series of BLT’s. Total volume includes two tomatoes, A loaf of pumpernickel bread, and a pound of bacon. Some lettuce too (no one cares about lettuce). Delicious.

HELL YES !!

I got to watch some good movies this weekend. Got out the juicer - had not used it in a long while and made some fresh juice.

I covered a friend at works shift today and he’s covering my saturday in return so my lifitng scheduale can stay on track and I now don’t have to have contact with my boss for another few weeks. Oh, and I get a lie in on a saturday for the first time in about a year

I feel like a cheese toasty. To hell with eating clean I feel like one. Think I’ll head down the road to my friends house after my shower and food to join in bis birthday celebrations.

Started in a new gym that’s serious about lift’n big shit, got a promotion at work, asked my girl to marry me (she said yes) and deadlifted a new PR of 425 X 2…To happy for words…[/quote]

UPDATE on my good day. Mentioned a trip to Vegas to get married and the g-friend thought we should do a big backyard family and friends thing. I told her she had my blessing and could run with that idea. A few days of trying to figure all that crap out and I’ll be damned, she thinks Vegas would be a killer idea. With age comes patience and patience is golden my t-friends… (big smile-rolls eyes)…now lets go to the gym and rip some shit!!

Went back to the gym last night after taking a while off to heal up from an injury…ended up lifting heavier than I ever had. Awesome.

Riiiiise. RIIIIISE! RIIIIIIIIISE!!!

Hit the gym today. First time since a first-degree AC joint separation about 4 weeks ago (I also lost my house keys with my gym tag on them, found them two days ago. Had been doing kettlebell stuff at home to keep up). Started off light by seeing how my shoulder would hold up with some box squats. Did fine. Moved on to floor presses, was able to push pretty hard. Overhead presses, same.

Did a few scapular plane shoulder raises, and did heavy low rows without any extra pain. Moved on to some Glute stuff from the new article, and now I’m crazy burned after the gym. FUCK it feels good… My ass is on fire and for once it’s not because of tacos!

Also, I’m 95% sure that my dental assistant that cleaned my teeth this morning was very much flirting with me. She’s extremely bangin’ (as the kids these days say), and commented on how she thought my tattoo was hot, I was handsome (in passing), etc. Unfortunately I’ve had a girlfriend for coming up on 3 years now. But it was nice to get hit on.

after 3 years of bulking from 130-205 I’ve finally decided to see how good i am at cutting down about 10lbs.

the fat is just melting off, losing weight is easy. In a few weeks ill be down from 12% to 8% and officially be the most jacked, strongest, and ripped guy in my entire college. literally.

I’m the happiest i have been in a while, finally really enjoying school and not missing a single minute of it, finally on track to get the fuck out of my parents basement. Hard work pays off.
