We’ll always have people within a faith tradition who want to effect some kind of change within their church (women who want priesthood ordination, for example.) If that doesn’t work out, they may go find a church that better fits them. We live in a big religious market place so people have a lot of choices when it comes to finding a church. Honestly, I don’t have an issue with any of that. Freedom.
I DO have a big problem with a political party trying to change the religion of people it represents because those religious beliefs are IN THE WAY of it’s agenda. "Let’s educate the Catholics and engage in backroom strategy sessions to get them to change some of the fundamental tenets of their faith, because they threaten our political agenda. At the same time, we’ll make fun of them, then hit them with some lawsuits and go after them in the press about how they aren’t living up to whatever aspect of our “new progressive morality.”
Hillary has publicly said much of this. She’s said she would use executive privilege to go after gun shows and “loopholes.” She was using this as a campaign platform issue when trying to win over Bernie supporters. Her views on gun control were “more liberal.” - If she couldn’g get it done through legislative channels, she’d use excecutive power to write regulation. Who needs the Congress when you have presidents who just write regulations? We really only need one branch of government. sarcasm
The only thing that stops me from thinking Hillary has it in the bag, is her inability to seal the deal. She can’t close for shit. In 2008, she got tooled by Obama, who had just 2 years in the Senate. Also, Trump is a fighter to the end who hates to lose, and his base is foaming for a victory.
Agreed, but the dynamic is a bit different. Old white guy who’s slogan has effectively become “Grab her by the Pussy” v. young mixed raced guy that, regardless of his Presidency, would make history.

Politicians are all liars and crooked, sure. He’s literally called two of his opponents Lyin’ Ted and Crooked Hilary and he’s not wrong! But no one, absolutely no one, can match Trump for ability to make demonstrably-false or easily-debunkable public statements on video or Twitter and later claim that he never said that,

I know this sounds nutty, but I have this awful feeling that that stupid orange bastard will pull this off somehow. Because she doesn’t have what it takes to finish him off, he will find a way to crawl back into the race. I don’t fault her as much for losing to Obama because he was charming and electrified the electorate in 2008 in a way we hadn’t seen in years, but if she blows it against Trump considering his flaws, her career should be and probably is over.
How does somebody mix up the middle digits in the otherwise-identical model numbers of two turbofan-powered narrow-body commercial passenger planes after a third of a century?
Obviously both she and Trump were lying when they described him as a creepy scumbag prone to sexual assault. It’s the only explanation.

That’s kind of an odd question. They’re both shitty. I guess the latter is shittier, but that depends on the context. If both children are conduction clandestine operations against Russia I’d rather have the liar that can successfully collude with others to cover up it up.
