The Next President of the United States: IV

Speaking of clowns unfit for the office, the GOP presidential candidate has taken to Twitter to attack a private citizen, and as part of attack, directed people to go “check out [her] sex tape”.

Voting for this fool is an act of political malpractice.

I saw this earlier. At this point, I’m not sure what else there is to say. If you want to vote for Trump go for it, but don’t pretend it’s because you’re a principled individual.

Trump will get at least 40% of the vote on election day so no not just his base takes him seriously

You’re assuming that the folks making up the difference between his base and that 40% figure take him seriously. As we know, a significant portion of people vote along party line regardless of who is running and we also know a significant number of people will vote Trump because they feel he is the lesser of two evils. Neither of those things means they take him seriously.

Johnson won two elections. People take him seriously. That is the point.

Of course people take him seriously - why else would so many be attacking him?

I wouldn’t call that fainting, more like hauling a grandfather clock into a van.

Trump missed a golden opportunity to turn that beauty pageant bullshit into a spotlight on how Hillary treated Bill’s accusers.

He could have said something like…

["So it seems you want to talk about the treatment of women, why don’t we discuss how you (Hillary) had a team of 19 journalists who intimidated, harassed, and tried to publicly and privately silence the women who accused your husband and former President of alleged sex crimes. Hillary, you said (and I quote), “you would crucify” Gennifer Flowers when in fact her claims turned out to be true.

Hillary, you claim to be a champion for women’s rights, when in fact you DID much worse than anything I have ever SAID. Also, you take money from countries whose ideologies are some of the most oppressive to women, homosexuals, and non-believers.

But you want to talk about me having a hard conversation with a woman who put on some weight while participating in a beauty pageant ? Ok let’s discuss…"]

Fucking epic mic drop

He has single digit support and what little spotlight he has been given he has squandered with his goofy demeanor

Anyone who votes for Trump takes him seriously period. Quit the mental gymnastics

Bullshit. That is completely absurd.

Like I said, a polished politician could have destroyed Hillary the other night. Instead we get this buffoon.

Ok you refuse inference. Here is a spreadsheet an analyst can love.
Bear in mind this is 2 years drop in circulation and the AZ paper is listed.

Also note USA Today numbers. That is the flagship for Gannett - the owner of the AZ paper as you already know.

Agreed.

Option 2 is to wake up at 3am and go on a twitter rant suggesting to go look at Miss U’s alleged sex tape and that all sources saying anything negative about you aren’t real sources.

The fact that you, me, and anybody somewhat paying attention can put this together is telling. Hillary has HUGE (dare I say… hyuuuge?) flaws, pointing them out isn’t exactly a challenge. His advisors say that he had prepared answers to her attacks, yet he still takes the bait.

And like many have said; Trump is thin-skinned, and especially doesn’t like challenges to is “I’m a Great, Self-Made-Billionaire Businessman/I’m Rich and Smart/Alpha-Male” Shtick.

He goes off-the-rails…AND DOESN’T LET UP…if any of those things are challenged.

I’ll give it a read in a minute because it looks interesting, but I’m not following how a decline in print news leads to a conservative news paper endorsing a Democrat for the first time in their 130 or so year history?

He doesn’t go off the rails he goes on offense. Journalists have just gotten use to saying whatever they want without repercussions.

This is why people like him, he’s not constantly playing defense like all other Republican candidates

That’s the weird thing. So many opportunities to completely gut her, and yet, he didn’t.

If I were to go off into speculation land, I’d say that he took a couple of shots on the chin in this one and held back on delivering the real damage so that she drops her guard. Or that he was using this as a barometer to gage response. An old sales manager I had used to say that you should push a client until they yelp, then dial it back a little. He’d test different pitches and pressure tactics to see how much was too much, or how much less was too little.

Otherwise I’d have no choice but to really lose confidence in his ability to hold his own in many regards. She’s such an easy target in so many ways.

My guess is, Trump held back a bit to prevent like he was bullying her or going after her to aggressively.

For as much as we hear about gender equality, if Trump went after her fully unleashed in a similar way that he did against his opponents in the primaries, we would be hearing about how rough he was on her because Hillary is a woman.

He has the kind of support that can swing an election, so he’s dangerous. Which is why he is being attacked. No one is attacking Jill Stein, and there’s a reason for that too,

You really have no clue as to American politics, do you?

If you look at the collective effect of Johnson siphoning votes away from Hillary, an increased GOP turnout from being energized, a lower Democratic turnout particularly among millenials and maybe some minority voters, that tangerine bastard might just win.
