The Next President of the United States: IV

“When this institution allows thousands of American flags to be placed in the center of campus it speaks volumes to the students that have lived their lives under the oppression of this flag.”

Fuck these assholes. Fuck them. Fuck them. Fuck them.

Members of CODE also pointed out that, this year, 9/11 marks the start of Eid al-Adha, a major Muslim holiday, and erecting the flags over the weekend “shows a complete lack of thought care or understanding of the students that are still living with the rising Islamophobia in the aftermath of 9/11.”

We best believe her.

Half dressed, tattooed contortionists, they tend to be extremely educated on penis sizes.

But then I have never worried about the presidents dick size.

Sure we can look at rumors from a left wing news source on who he will nominate. But thenTrump already said who he would. Donald Trump Releases List of Possible Supreme Court Picks - The New York Times

It is best to remember Hillary sees Ruth Joan Bader Ginsburg as a great judge. So it is not as mystery what she will nominate. Judges who do not care what the law says. They make it say what they want it to say. Because those people who wrote the law, They would have agreed with her if they only had her wisdom.

Really they did not change things with Roe Vs Wade? Didn’t Lawrence v. Texas kill bigamy laws? Making it where you can only regulate the ability to get more than one license. But you can have all the unlicensed wives you want now. The laws are still there, but they can no longer be enforced. The second amendment was only one vote from being repealed as an individual right, with the Heller ruling. Instead that right was reconfirmed.

We do know what the court does and we know it is primarily limited by the strict constructionist judges sitting on it. Judges who feel their power is limited. Liberal judges feel far less limited

Actually, they do. No one is arguing there would be no impact, if course there would. What isn’t going to happen is SCOTUS setting national policy and turning the US into an unrecognizable dystopia.

We’ve had liberal-dominated courts and conservative-dominated courts, and their overreaches often get addressed by Congress and the President, and we’re still the greatest country in the world.

When did “conservatives” become such drama queens? Of course we want a conservative court - but my God, the country isn’t morphing into Gomorrah if the court has a liberal bent.

I would like to read some ‘neophyte accessible’ summaries of the corrections if you could direct a couple of cases to me.

So are we still sticking to the Trump because USSC line?

Correct me if I’m wrong, TB.

Hasn’t history shown us that labels of “Liberal” or “Conservative” to Supreme Court Justices have not born out in how they actually ended up voting on various cases?

And I agree; this idea that the Republic will spiral into some Homosexual/Illegal Immigrant/“Forcing-one-to-put-two-men-on-Top-of-a-Wedding Cake” abyss, leading to the very bowels of Hell is a bit much.

Oh my bad news for Hillary backers:

"A Bloomberg Politics poll showed the Republican presidential nominee with a 5-point lead over his Democratic challenger in Ohio, and a CNN poll released the same day showed Trump with a similar lead in Ohio in a four-way race including Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson and Green Party candidate Jill Stein.

The CNN poll also shows Trump leading Clinton in another important swing state, Florida, with 47% of the vote to Clinton’s 44% in a four-way race. "

Neither is a right leaning organization last time I checked. Trump also leads in other key states but…

…as I said keep an eye on polls just before or around Halloween. Whoever leads at that time will win the race.

Gee I wonder if new information will be released about Hillary’s health? I also wonder what new email leaks will tell us about the corrupt Hillary Clinton.

Stay tuned. As I said so many times as far back as one year Hillary will never become President of the United States.

We should act like Americans, I can’t imagine the founders thought we would allow such weak immigration policies.

Neither party has acted because business has always supported the downward pressure immigration has on labor. To imply that the voting pattern is the driver is nonsense.

You are getting snookered by the slow drip that is the inching of Leftists. Liberals learned that if they went for a huge grab at once, the people rebelled. But take a little at a time, and the people get lulled to sleep and allow it to happen.

Amen…if anything SCOTUS has leaned right for the last thirty years.

I doubt the founders worried a lot about immigration. That is why they left most things up to be addressed by local state then federal legislators. With only a set of guild lines that restricted what the new laws could and could not do. They were not such fools that they believed that they could pass every laws that ever would be needed.

No they never could have imagined millions of people coming to the USA uninvited. They would have seen that as an invasion.

When immigration is done over a slow period, it’s not viewed as an invasion. It’s a small leak, but over time it will amount to a lot. Democrats are playing the long game, and they will win, you see it now with how early they start their indoctrination. They own the schools and universities, the media, the entertainment industry, what we are seeing now is the beginning of the fruits is their labor.

The Liberal bend that TB mentioned will only keep bending.

That’s fine, but that isn’t what you said:

“The point I was making was democrats using immigrants and their voting pattern to enact their agenda. Once Liberals have enough SCOTUS judges on the bench”

Dems use immigrants and voting patterns to enact their agenda so that’s what we should do. Isn’t that what you’re saying?

I think we should make a compelling argument for the principles we know to be better not stoop to their level.

That’s really the heart of the matter isn’t it. Both sides have been making their argument and enacting their policies while in power, and one side has been doing a better job than the other.

You’re Italian by heritage, right? If not, change the relevant words to “Irish” (or whatever).

It’s overwhelmingly likely that your ancestors came to this country and settled, at least at first, in the kind of impoverished neighborhood that “natives” derided in much the same way you’re deriding Imperial County (or wherever: that’s just a guess). Why import low-intellect, filthy, lazy, disease-spreading paupers who cluster in slums and infect our body politic? They even had a similar argument about the newcomers’ electoral untrustworthiness: democracy and Popery were assumed to be incompatible.

It was the same spirit of overt racism that today pools like sewage runoff at Trump rallies and, indeed, has been driving him forward ever since he opened his campaign by lying about Mexican immigrants to the predictable delight of Stormfront, Duke, et al. Keep your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free. Fuck the wretched refuse of your teeming shore.

My question is this: If you were given the choice, would you take a victory for the current nativism at the cost of the same victory for past nativism? The arguments were equally good/bad back then. So, Mexicans get gone now, but your ancestors never got to come here, and you’re, e.g., some poor motherfucker going nowhere in a little town in the south of Italy, hoping that one of the three village women of marrying age will choose you over the other ten toothless guys who will never escape the monotonous purgatory that is poor rural Europe?

Yup, well said. I have been wondering this same thing for quite some time now. I truly don’t understand how this part of our history and culture is just forgotten or, more likely, ignored.
