The Next President of the United States: IV

No.

I cited nazi Germany was proof it’s possible to track illegals in 2016 when people were saying it would be impossible.

Part of the reason we are where we are in this country is that this is thought of as a “small policy decision.” I get that you were being sarcastic, but it’s true most think of this as small potatoes. The reality is it will be another giant entitlement, funded by debt, and will have the exact opposite effect it desires.

That’s what the Democratic party has been doing for decades.

That’s not quite how TheRaj put it… Lol, but that aside that isn’t equal to what I and many consider conservatism to be, which, if I’m understanding you correctly, we agree on, right?

Your assessment might be accurate. This is not really the way I normally think about things.

Agreed and I believe so.

I admit amusement at the line “We will provide maternity leave for all whose companies don’t provide now.” 6% do now, I think he said.

Amusement being that those 6% were like YES! I am getting rid of that benefit pronto.

Lol! Agreed. I’ve been saying this for probably a year now. He’s a liberal in Alt Right clothing.

You’re really going to make me hunt for the quotes, aren’t you?

My question on maternity leave:

My wife is a stay at home mom. Will she get 6 weeks of pay for maternity leave? If not, how is that fair? If so, at what pay rate?

That doesn’t answer my question, put to you - do you think our immigration policy should be set to make sure one party’s ideas prevail over another?

So, in short, you praised how effiently and effectively the Nazi’s were at rounding up Jews, homosexuals, and gypies and rhetocially questioned what the US government would be capable of using said blueprint.

Then we have this gem:

And it just keeps getting worse and worse… You’re even in favor of the NSA spying on Americans.

Agreed. Nothing conservative about the Don. We’re heading for the proverbial cliff one way or another. Hillary will just accelerate it more.

You need to refundable tax credits friend.
But don’t delay call Treco Law Offices today!

That is nonsense. thrift, hard work, and Christian morality are not Alt-Right. Neither is the traditional family. What IS alt-right is nativism, and racism. I personally see nobody here, regardless of their social stances, deriding traditional conservative values as alt-right. What I DO see is them deriding nativism, Trump’s demagoguery, and a couple poster’s methods of defense as alt-right.

Isolationism is not practical in this 21st century world any more. You should know that. Globalization has irrevocably tied our interests to situations overseas and we cannot ignore that if we want to continue to lead and prosper. That does not mean being hawkish necessarily, but it does mean NOT being isolationist. I’ll leave social structure out of this as it’s debatable and an entirely different subject in any case. Far too much to derail the thread.

No I think immigration should be designed to Further the country’s interests. But here’s an interesting graph

Is a large government beneficial to American interests?

I told you what point I was trying to make, you can view it as you’d like

Wrong question. Rather ask, should the government compel employers and employees to pay for maternity leave?

Well, the plan I understand is not that employers are compelled to pay for maternity leave but rather that the taxpayers in general would pay for maternity leave. That means that the government would essentially be paying women for being pregnant.

Which raises the question as to why the government should pay women for being pregnant only in the event that they are employed. And why should the amount that women get paid for being pregnant be related to the amount of money they make for their other work?

You got upset that people are supposedly comparing Trump to Hilter while literally praising how efficient the Nazi party was at rounding people up and wondered how much better the US (assumedly under Trump) could do it.

So, it’s not cool to compare Trump to Hilter - no one here has done that.

But, it’s cool, if you’re a supporter, to suggest Trump’s admin could use a Nazi blueprint to successfully round up illegal immigrants. In other words, you want Trump to act like Hitler…

Seems a bit hypocritical to me and that doesn’t even get into the stuff you were saying about the NSA and spying.

It shouldn’t. In either instance.

See above. That question is irrelevant if you believe we should not be paying for others to be pregnant.

But you lament the trend toward a “one party state” as a result of immigration - you said so yourself. So what we need are ideological tests for immigrants, correct?

I mean, who cares what the color of their skin is if they will just vote for the right party, right? Agree?
