After watching Hillary hit the “overcharge” button with Lavrov, and then hearing Obama laugh at Romney for calling them our greatest geopolitical foe I never thought we’d see a preference for a GOP candidate out of the Kremlin. I tend to think that after Crimea Obama and HRC got a bit of a wake up call regarding the Putin administration.
Absolutely.
Relatedly: you can learn more about a country by reading it’s most popular tabloids than you can anywhere else. This goes double for countries without a free press.

Agreed. It’s nonsense. What it is, though, is calculated histrionics - there is a fear that conservatives won’t turn out for the increasingly unconservative Trump, and since they (people like the author of this piece) can’t credibly make Trump more conservative, they have to make the alternative look as scary and bad as possible. Thus, Hillary being elected will be the end of the Republic.
It’s dumb. And ridiculous. Hillary is a conventional liberal with no new ideas. The country will survive if she wins.
And if so-called conservatives were truly worried about the trajectory of the country - to the point a Hillary presidency would truly be the stake in the heart of the nation after Obama did most of the damage - why did they sit it out in 2012 and not cast such an important defensive vote for the much more conservative Romney over the nation’s socialist destructor Obama? No one ever answers this.
It’s all a bunch of had theatre, premised on dishonest arguments and inconsistencies in the logic of recent voting.

Your point has merit. I hadn’t thought of it that way before. But on the upside Kaine is a huge improvement compared to the top of the ticket.
You might as well be asking me if I professionally think she was poisoned… Professionally my profession has no weight on my ability to judge as to whether or not it is speculation so I have no clue.
Also I really don’t want to sit through hours of video of her to come to my own conclusion

Kaine has a record of cozying up to Wall Street, which could dissuade the Bernie people.
There is enough to conclude that there is something more than pneumonia going on, there is not a single medical professional on Earth who would recommend she go to someone’s apartment instead of a hospital after passing out considering her medical history.
I have no doubt that Dr. Chelsea Clinton has an Xray machine, a blood lab, and an IV drip all ready at her posh NY apartment.
My Aunt suffered with Parkinson’s for several years before she died. It is a horrible, horrible way to go. I have no idea if Hillary has Parkinson’s But those really weird cocked head movements, and her occasional rivetted stares along with her coughing problem is exactly what my aunt had as she entered the later stages of Parkinson’s. And there was no medication that seemed to help for very long. And some of her medication caused some terrible side effects.
Honestly, I really hope that she doesn’t have this dreaded disease. She might be my last pick for President but I wouldn’t wish Parkinson’s on anyone.
Let her lose on her continual lying, cheating and other nefarious activities.

I knew of someone that used to go on the internet and argue with himself. He made multiple accounts and would then take opposing sides of an issue in effort to “win” the discussion. This was truly disturbing. Most people just ignored him and he eventually went away. It was funny when he got caught and then tried to explain away his weird behavior.
Isn’t that a type of lying?

I’ve been considering the same thing. Both parties are so invested in slamming the other nominee that if the Democrats can switch in someone that is seen as more middle of the road (like a Biden or a Kaine), whether that is an actual switch or just an acknowledgment that even if Hillary goes down the succession plan is solid, that might work out well for the Democrats.
The problem with Parkinsons, though, is that it is a degenerative brain disease. In advanced stages it cause thinking and behavioral problems, including dementia, depression, anxiety, and emotional problems. If it were say, heart disease, where she might happen to drop dead at any moment, that’s not such a big deal, election wise. If, on the other hand, there is a chance that the leader of the free world may develop symptoms of dementia, anxiety, and emotional problems, that’s scary for the electorate.
That would have to come from the news media. And I doubt that will happen unless her symptoms became very obvious.
Eh, that guy may have some warrant for such a statement. I don’t agree with his speculation on the motives, but I am acutely aware of some problems that can arise from different types of toxic exposures due to my profession.

No idea how she would become exposed to the extent required to produce symptoms either.

Welding and fabrication. Toxic metal exposure has become a pretty big thing in the past decade. It has always been known about to a certain extent but nothing done about it. More recently there has been a big push to clean up the industrial environs in which the work is being done.
My old instructor is a prime example of manganese toxicity, which looks a whole lot like parkinsons.
