Sounds like Panetta had a different style than Bill Clinton. It is not uncommon for someone’s executive style to clash with another persons. Nor is it uncommon to mention it years later. He may have even had Bill Clinton’s blessings before he wrote this. It’s hardly anything that even approaches a major issue like Benghazi for example.

Why did Hillary Clinton claim that the attacks were begun because of a Video? And President Obama said the very same thing not only to the victims families which was an awful thing to do but to the American people as well.
Do you know why that happened? I’d love to get your read on it.

- Bill was often time unfocused
- Bill didn’t provide closure to his staff leaving them blowing in the wind.
- The White House meetings were almost a “BS operation”
- Bill’s lack of focus resulted in his inability to be clear with the American people at times.
- “When you’re president of the United States, it was my view that the president has to be above that and that he can’t just suddenly grovel and look like he’s engaging in political warfare…”

I have no idea what the rationale was for Clinton and Obama to play the attack off as a response to said video. Probably because they push the idea the Muslim extremism doesn’t exist.
Not quite, they all lied and played down the attack because if you recall the attack came just about 7 weeks before the Presidential election of 2012. The attacks were September 12, 2012. The Presidential election was November weeks after the attack.
Getting into a major scrap in Libya would have shown the Obama/Clinton Libya policy to be a failure in the eyes of the public. And they were afraid that it could cost Obama the election and obviously make Hillary look like she made some very bad decisions. So they created this video lie to cover-up for a poor foreign policy in that part of the world.
Motivation is always needed for such a whopper to be told and I just pointed out their motivation. If you step back and think about it usmccds you might agree. Give it some thought.
My sole point for three days now is that there were no assets that could have been used to help the 4 Americans killed in Bengahzi, period.
The administrations political motivites, which I never challenged, are an entirely different matter.
I understand your original point. However, I brought up the cover-up to point out why Leon Panetta and company lied to begin with. They didn’t want to expand this conflict they wanted it to go away. It was too close to an election. Furthermore, Obama and company watched the attack on live feed it lasted for several hours as everyone knows by now. Jets could have easily been scrambled and there were also ground troops that could have helped as well. However, the motivation was not there by Obama, Clinton and Panetta.
Here is a video by Judge Jeanine. Granted she’s obnoxious but she does say far more eloquently than I ever could what happened. Panetta is highlighted as being one of the 3 key players in this cover-up.
Give it a look I know you are not a left wing loon I have read many of your posts and we agree on perhaps 95% on most issues. If we never agree on this issue fine I have no problem with that. But there is solid evidence of my claim that Panetta was in on the cover-up.
