The Next President of the United States: III

Totally and unequivocally agree.

When challenged on Trump’s vileness, it is not an answer or a rebuttal to say “You know who’s awful? Hillary.”

Hillary could be the devil or could be a saint, but it’s completely irrelevant in taking the measure of the man.

Trump has promised war crimes as part of his presidency - and it’s incredible to see the number of “conservatives” in the media cowed into refusing to condemn his actions. Wimps, all.

That doesn’t even make sense. Wouldn’t that just be a hypocrite?

In any event, your histrionic statement is flawed for another reason - the vileness of Trump doesn’t pale in comparison to Hillary. If anything, their vileness is comparable, but most importantly, their characteristics are far more similar than Trump supporters (and supporting non-supporters, of which we see many) will admit - Hillary is a dishonest opportunist, and…so is Trump.

They’re barely different in many respects - one just happens to be a Democrat, and one just happens to be running as a Republican (not the same as being one).

And it just doesn’t get through to politicians that we may actually want that. People are voting and Trump is winning, but politicians don’t want to sacrifice the false vision that they have of politics being of some higher social order and calling.

The Pundits all said Rubio was out of it and should’ve dropped out before Florida et al to help out the NeverTrumps. Truth. Cruz would’ve definitely won Missouri.

But when you listen to his speech last night, Rubio tells you why he stayed in -so his Mom could place a vote for her son to be President of the United States. It was the one thing Rubio had full control of in this race (and perhaps whatever is left of his political future), and he was not about to relinquish it.

Interesting…

How do you implicitly defend someone by comparing them to someone atrocious? That’s silly.

Yeah, after four to eight years of deliberately targeting civilian family members of suspected terrorists and forcing soldiers to refuse illegal orders to conduct war crimes, we will be blessed to have a president who doesn’t pilfer the silverware. Our chests will swell with pride at such character.

But, bad example, in any event, as Trump wouldn’t steal such because has no need for silver spoons - he has the $25 million one he was born with, in his mouth.

(But he’s sooooooo anti-Establishment! Talk radio told me so!)

Who on talk radio calls Trump anti-establishment? Honest question, I don’t get to listen near as much as I used to.

Well, I’m at least happy I wasn’t subjected to another mullet rock clip, but I’ve pilloried Hillary plenty - no less than four posts ago, I said her vileness was comparable to Trump’s.

No, the question is how - and you can’t, that’s how.

As for the rest, I’m plenty concerned about either of the bozos occupying the Oval Office - I just can’t figure out how so many conservatives are enabling a train wreck like Trump and pretending he’s a better alternative to Hillary when he clearly isn’t.
