So, what does it matter? Even if it does, based on what criteria?
The over sized Oompa Loopa is easily the worst candidate for CIC in 2016. Period.

It would be nice to hear somebody come up with somethingā¦
In my view Mitt should have done exactly what he did but should have done it before Rubio and Cruz got involved
All of the heads of the military are going to still be there in an advisory capacity, as will the entire staff of diplomats, just as they have through all of the previous presidencies. Trump might appoint a couple of people here and there but the actual mechanisms and functions arenāt going to change much.
You guys get too upset over shit he will have very little to do with. Hell, when I was a kid, there was an actual nuclear stand off. You y9ung chumps have to create boogey monsters to fight so that you can feel like youāre doing something.
You keep saying this without evidence.
In any case, it doesnāt matter whom you perceive, without evidence and without considering that Trump aspires to be a war criminal morally indistinguishable from Mohamed Atta, to be the āleast militaristic.ā The point is simple and obvious (that obvious points keep having to be spelled out is a function of the weakness of one side in this argument): the American CIC marshals immense power, and the military he oversees is one of a handful that for half a century have had to balance themselves against the prospect of nuclear annihilation. He is responsible for American lives, security, and soldiers. He can fail these charges either by wrong action or by inaction. He can do what he should not, or he can fail to do what he should, and in either case he can cause Americans to die. He ought therefore to be informed, intelligent, reasonable, competent, and cool, both in general and on the relevant specific questions. we have already seen that Donald Trump is, to understate the matter, none of these things. I have already made the argument many times from there.
Agreed this is not just a GOP problem, thereās a reason Blue Collar democrats are flocking to vote for Trump in a Republican primary. Democrats havenāt provided any acceptable options and the Republicans had the āGeniusā idea of actually giving their voters a choice between 17 candidates.

The president builds and directs an administration, and he chooses the top military official. Read a book about an administrationās foreign policy choices ā W. Bush will do ā if youād like to learn how and why there are actually things at stake in a presidential election (not a lesson that you should require as an adult citizen of this country, but whatever).
