The Next President of the United States: III

No, he didn’t. It was a Super PAC, operating on less than $1000. Candidates are prohibited from working with PAC’s. To suggest Cruz was aware of this would mean he was in violation of campaign finance law - a much more serious issue. Do you really think Cruz would risk his campaign to work with a PAC with less than a thousand dollars in funds?

Furthermore, it wasn’t even a pro Cruz PAC!

Make America Awesome is a SuperPAC dedicated to blocking and reversing Donald Trump’s political ascent. We are an independent group, and are not authorized by any presidential candidate or candidate committee. Our focus is on using unconventional and cost-effective tactics, as opposed to stereotypical high-cost, limited-yield methods with the objective of providing maximum donor value. - See more at: http://makeamericaawesome.com/about/#sthash.CLYPZMxL.dpuf

Has any proof come out that Cruz was involved with said Super PAC that created the ad?

This whole thing is just absurd. Complete nonsense and it takes away from highlighting Trump’s weaknesses as a candidate. Trump is probably smart enough to know this and that’s why he attacked Cruz, as if he created the ad, in the first place.

This might actually help Hilary with the college libs.

Drew - Melania Trump is not the candidate, so please stop with this nonsense about using a candidate’s past as an argument. If you want to go after Trump, go after the man, not his family.

Tedro - it would not surprise me if he knew about it, after all his campaign did claim Ben Carson dropped out of the race and his voters should vote for him instead.

Did you say the same when Trump attacked Bill Clinton?

It was a on the cover of a magazine. I don’t see it as going after her, but that’s for the Super PAC to answer. This has NOTHING to do with Ted Cruz or Cruz’s wife, and attacking someone’s wife is not what anyone should want a presidential candidate to do. Trump is the only candidate who has done that.

Bill Clinton was a former POTUS, Melania was not, she has never help political office. Bill is also currently on the campaign trail for Hillary, Melania is not (outside of the interviews she does with the media) but she is not campaigning.

Trump did not attack Cruz’s wife, as he was not the aggressor. You cannot let someone talk to you or treat you as if you had no nuts. This whole shit is beyond petty, but I don’t blame Trump for defending the attack on his wife, and if Cruz had nothing to do with it, then he should come out against the super PAC who did the ad.

Trump threatened to “spill the beans” on Cruz’s wife and then attacked her.

Cruz clarified who made the ad. It was not from him. This point has been made several times in this thread, publically, and in the numerous interviews/conferences where Trump has been asked about the situation. Nonetheless to his supporters “he started it” allows him to say whatever he wants, even though Cruz did not start it.

I’m honestly amazed at what is ok for Trump to do because it “makes him tough”. The truth or facts are not what counts, but acting macho is. Unbelievable.

Edited.

Oh Mr. Biz.

If you are referring to the national security bona fides of Admiral Lyons, you might pick a better subject.

As a former 4 star admiral, former COMPACFLT, sea daddy to our Seal Teams as they appear today and along with Col. C. Beckwith wrote the book on modern counterterrorism.

I think he might have a valid point or two, heaven forbid it be politically incorrect. I know that you are loath to offend anybody.

She felt the Bern.

Lol, fucking dumbass.

Apropos of the inanity of the Trump hoopla, nobody mentions that he casually threw in a suggestion (in the CNN town hall last night) that he might arm Japan and South Korea with nukes to keep China (obsessed with the Yellow Peril Trump is) and North Korea in line. Anderson Cooper tried to firm this up, but of course Trump danced around it, was probably waiting to see what the InterwebZ thought of it first…

I went through the Seven Stages of Coulter and concluded Trump was looney tunes weeks ago. I must be tremendously, extremely, so so so much smarter than she is, believe me, believe me, believe me.

Wow. I had not seen that yet.

As long as the mob approves.

Trump seems to be unraveling lately. From defending his campaign managers rough handling of a female news reporter to this latest episode that appears to make him look as if he is anti-women.

Hopefully this will be enough to catapult Ted Cruz to a victory in Wisconsin.

But, keep in mind I, and many others, have thought that his campaign was unraveling before and we’ve been wrong. Let’s see how this plays out in the upcoming primary.

Shockingly he’s already changed his position.

I think he will get a beat down in Wisconsin:

RealClearPolitics - Election 2016 - Wisconsin Republican Presidential Primary!

Even when Trump is ahead in various polls before a primary he either loses or it is closer than the poll indicates. This time he is behind and I bet that by the time Wisconsin rolls around in a few days he will be even further behind.

Agree. If that happens it looks more and more like there will be an open convention.

Trump has no idea what he’s talking about. His campaign tried to cover up for him, but yet again he shows no understanding of key issues. I feel like he’s trolling us.

Edit: I’m sure this will do a lot to help him improve his poor results among women.
