No, I want Kasich to keep busting up the votes so there is a brokered convention. I think that’s a better result.
Hey, I’m a pretty soft spoken guy. Where is Cruz a policy wonk? Not in economics, where he erroneously endorses a return of the gold standard. Not in foreign policy, where he holds numerous unevidenced and reactionary positions. I’m genuinely curious. He’s a legal force to be reckoned with, for sure. It also goes without saying that he would be exponentially better than Trump.
That poll is great news, because it’ll scare Trump, and a scared Trump leads to all kinds of crazed verbal goodies, juxtaposed against Cruz’ laser like focus on campaigning as a serious candidate.
Also, Nate Silver’s FiveThirtyEight at this moment gives Cruz an 81% chance of winning Wisconsin! If that happens, and Kasich still doesn’t pull out, I am going to doubt the man’s sanity…(I pooh poohed Silver’s prediction of Obama with a 90+ chance of winning in 2012, so yes I faced facts and embraced his site’s info and insights)
I’m kicking Kasich off the Cruz ticket. Are you listening, Governor?![]()
(this was in reply to Push, at this point I am still deigning to have Kasich as VP on the Cruz ticket)
A Jeb endorsement comes with a lot of donor dollars. And I think people liked Jeb, they just didn’t want to vote for him. So I think it was good for Cruz all around.
Obama in Argentina: “I can say with confidence that the work we’ve done has made both America, and I think the world, stronger and better.”
Jeez, one honestly does not even have to be partisan to shake their head at that statement; spoken one day after the Belgian disaster.
Well, no - a brokered convention is a better way to stop Trump and reconsider the best option (which I don’t think is Cruz). If the GOP is going to have a future, it needs to have a knock down, drag out session and get the best candidate available and decide the actual direction of the party.
Under Trump, the GOP is destined to become the 21st century version of the Know-Nothings.
Classy

Well, Trump did say he was going to go after the loved-ones of his enemies.
Wow, that guy has zero class
Obama lives in his own little world. He has never been a Commander and Chief, more like a Professor and Chief. The man has not one bit of leadership in his character. Regardless of who wins in November we must be going up from here.
The lines were 3-4 hours in most places. The GOP was expecting around 9,000 people in our district…the final count was well over 24,000.
With regards to the wife post with Trump and Cruz…I believe that Trump was responding to a rather nasty attack ad that Cruz released about Trump’s wife during the UT primary.
But I’m going to stop at that, don’t want to be accused of carrying Trump’s water.
