The Next President of the United States: II

Bernie got Kanye’d.

I wonder if they will try that shit with Trump.

It’s interesting Trump both hurts and helps the GOP. Do you honestly think that something like 25 million people would have tuned into the main debate if Trump were not part of it?

Yet, on the other hand if the association between Trump and the GOP continues to grow that is not a good thing. But, neither is Bernie Saunders, running as a socialist a good thing for the democrats. There are still some middle of the road democrats who define themselves as right of Obama. Now along comes Bernie the socialist.

I don’t think I would want the leader of my country fleeing an event due to the ramblings of a land whale.

I believe they already have…

but of course, Trump has massive amounts of security at his events.

What are the chances of a Clinton/Sanders ticket? That would be unbeatable, if its not 0% I would be a bit worried…

Here is a growing concern of mine. Sanders vs Trump. I highly doubt it will happen, but can you imagine the idiocy of a socialist and a billionaire running against each other? I’m also not confident the public could abstain from voting “for the common good.”

If this happened, it would be a clear sign that we are in the end of days.

Article is a bit of a turd. I understand the author is a liberal (socialist), but come on.

“Meanwhile, Bernie Sanders calls for a free public college education for American young people, financed by a tiny tax on trading transactions on Wall Street.”

Define tiny.

“Meanwhile, while the GOP wages its obsessive war against Obamacare, and would rip away the insurance of Americans with pre-existing conditions and children now covered by the policies of their parents,…”

Children, like 26 years old?

“While the GOP debates pit Republicans who want to cut Social Security against Republicans who want to privatize Social Security and make the most successful government program in history a new profit center for Wall Street, Bernie Sanders wants to increase social security benefits for Americans.”

With what money? Massive tax increases?

Do his supporters think any of this shit through? Let me rephrase that. Do his supporters THINK?

Massive tax increase is probably not far off . Increase wages so all people that work live above the level that welfare pays and each worker can afford to pay taxes and does not require any tax dollars for assistance , that is a tax increase and a savings all wrapped up

The main theme I saw in the Republican (SO CALLED ) debate was Tax Reform . I agree we need reform . some way to tax every corporation that does business in America regardless of Nationality either sales tax or consumption tax

The only down side to tax reform is every major player will have a seat at the table except the working man and that is the only problem I can see

You are suggesting that minimum wage people make more money for no added value to the business. For small business, you are killing profit margins, which mean employees and/or their hours get cut, prices go up (which has a ceiling to it), or the business goes under.

If your intention is to stick to some billionaire CEO, you are not hitting the ocean from the beach.

[quote]pittbulll wrote:

Prices will go up on all goods and services and then the Pittbulls of the world will be screaming about high prices.

Prices will go up again and then the Pittbulls of the world will be screaming even louder about high prices.

The problem is that people like Bernie Sanders and really most democrats try to break up the economy, “us vs. them” and it just doesn’t work that way. We are one economy. Some people are at the bottom for various reasons and some are at the top. When you take from the people at the top (and other tiers) as the democrats and socialists want to do you actually affect the people at the bottom and of course in the middle in an adverse way.

Sure you can make the guy who owns 5 health food stores pay their bottom tier people $15 an hour instead of $9 or $10. But you must realize that the owner of those 5 stores is going to pass that expense on to his customers. So instead of paying $3.00 for a natural yogurt you are going to pay $4.00 for the exact same product. Then when you decide you need new tires for your car the normal cost of say $200 a tire will now be $250 per tire.

Look, the left screws with the economy the worse it gets. This has been proven time and again.

Is there any real debate left to be had?

Should I repost the list of democratic states and large cities that have been failing for decades?

Every increase in the minimum wage has been followed by a decrease in the purchasing power of the lowest earners. It doesn’t serve employers, employees, or consumers. Pitt needs to understand the difference between nominal and real wages.

It would be better(and possible) to reduce welfare so that all people that work can live above the level of a welfare recipient, but I am also interested in pittbulll’s explanation.
